I saw a lot of these eastern tiger swallowtail butterflies (Papilio glaucus) in the food forest last year. I caught a photo of this one taking flight.

I don't know if I'm expected to provide pictures, or something, but I am planning to put in some native ferns by the end of the month, as well as order some virginia Groundcherry seedlings.

Hopefully, I can take out the invasive grapes, because I would like to put in some native fox grapes in their place. I'm just a little too far north for muscadines.

This Elderberry from last September was about two years old, and it started to explode with growth in its second year.

These parasitoid wasps, probably Cotesia congregata,  balance out the caterpillar population significantly.
