Weird search results?

I entered the string "REKO ring" into the search bar and I got this back:


It's telling me there's a thread with a post and it's also telling me no results were found. Anyone know why?

There seem to be a few glitches in our search engine, you may have found another one.
I don't think there is a thread about REKO rings, so you might want to start one.

were you in a specific forum when you searched?  The default setting is to search only that forum.  

There's a drop-down menu that does 'search within...' or search all of permies, or you can do what I do and go to https://permies.com/forums and use the search box there.  

I've seen the same thing before. I wonder if the search page is for some reason counting itself as one? I've noticed search engines seem to be fairly wonky on many forum sites. I've seen at least one that said their was crap and told how to go to Google and do a search for that particular site.

I think there's a glitch where the number includes threads and posts that have been removed for being spam.  But because they are removed, it won't show up in the results.

That's good to know, but I searched in the box at the top of https://permies.com/forums.
