We are looking for Christian families of a biblically conservative orientation to join our project in leaving the United States to create a self-sufficient eco-village founded on Biblical principles. We have been looking at properties in Costa Rica, Dominica, Vanuatu, Private Islands in the Indian Ocean, and Lands in Africa.

We are looking to be entirely self-sufficient and base our community on the Scriptures and respect for ancient Christianity in starting a monastic community patterned after the Celtic monasteries which included married families in their membership.

This being said, we also have a strong belief that big-agricultural and big-pharmaceutical corporations and other trans-national corporations (including big-tech) are working together to not only change society, but to do so in a way which also marginalizes Christians who are attempting to live a more natural and more traditional Christian lifestyle rooted in the land, having children, raising one’s own food, and treating one’s own ailments with home remedies.

As to my experience and that of my own family, we have operated a homestead for several years off-grid, using solar, pumping our own water, warming our home with a wood-cookstove, and producing our own food. At the same time, we have experience in Christian communities, academia, and ministry.

However, our family (wife and eight children); though happy with our off-grid lifestyle, are not happy with our community life. We are selling the homestead and all of our possessions, along with a couple other potential families to move out of the country to create this Christian community which will have all things in common, following biblical law and gender norms, and operating on a sustainable and self-sufficient permaculture model.

I am an ordained Lutheran pastor (teaching elder) but have affinities with the Reformed tradition (in which I was educated), and in ancient church traditions (such as eastern orthodoxy); though I respect the approach of many other church traditions and we do not prohibit anyone simply based on denominational differences (though doctrinal requirements are stricter for the leadership).

We want to create a place where Christians can worship together, farm together, and educate their kids together so that they might grow up to be hard working Christians able to start their own families and expand our community for years to come.

We need around a dozen families and already have multiple property options in mind. The lots we are looking at are good for agriculture or were former farms and are financially within reach if we were to work together to purchase them together.

If you are Christians who are feeling isolated and either have homestead experience or are super interested in it, and can get down with our distinctives and rules (don't worry we aren't kill joys, but we are serious about living scripturally) then we would love to welcome you to our project

Our website is in my profile, but if you have questions, don't hesitate to comment or message me in private.

God bless.

I'm putting on my SPARKLY STAFF HAT to remind users that this thread is about a proposed community with a specific focus.
General questions are fine, however, this thread must stay within our publishing guidelines. Religion is a Cider Press topic as are politics and other potential troll-attracting subjects.

Hello Pastor Johnson,

I own about 7 acres and am wondering if you or any of your families would be interested in moving to our area or even onto my property.  I reckon you want something larger.  This is a former plantation in fresh mountain air in SanFrancisco de San Isidro de Grecia in Alajuela. I am aiming to do regenerative work here and it is one tiny step at a time since I have no experience and only have employees at this time.  I am looking to do a work exchange in order to provide free housing to those who want to have an opportunity to build something here and have a chance to build an association, live here partaking in whatever we build.  In the future, there is room for lots and tiny houses here as well as a main house with a large congregation room.  There are currently a total of six bedrooms available, four in free apartments.

This is predominantly a RC community with no local Bible-based worship that I know of.  It would be a joy to speak with you and your wife and see how you are doing in your goals and also to see if you know anyone who would enjoy coming out here for a spell and help me work the land, offer community prayer, and help get more folks in for support. I will subsidize help to a good degree as we have resources just need a sustainable plan.

I am a 57-year old born again in 2013 and attend an independent Baptist church where I am a member in NYC.  I have a 17-year old daughter who has mixed feelings about living here as well as college plans but if we got kids in here she is really good with them.

I have never been married and not sure if I need to be. It is as God leads on that one.  I have many good male and female friends here and as I am autistic I am wondering if I can build a community for mature high functioning Bible-believing Christians on the spectrum. And I will be joining and posting on this forum soon.

I wrote this on the fly so if you see any gaps in my story or have any questions - feel free to ask. You can reach me a gmail and I am ngllsps@gmail. Com. Not sure if this site permits posting one’s email.  So I broke it up: the username on the email is ngllsps

I am not sure I can navigate this site to see your response as it does not seem to be phone friendly. I may have to check it out on my laptop but we are soon going to be having fiber optics installed and my only internet is at the other house on the property.  I look forward to hearing from you or your wife.  By His Grace, Angela L. PS Not sure if this is a public post so abbreviating my actual name so not to get spammed.

Hello,

I was just examining your website and was curious to ask some questions.

1. how are rentals off-grid and self-sufficient?

For instance, if you have to have an external income (or at least the community does) in order to pay such expensive rents, then what happens if the state cuts you off from making sales or having an external income? Do people get evicted? I mean, that's why people go off-grid to begin with, so that if something happens where they are fired from work, or have their utilities cut over their convictions, they can be safe on their own land. It does not seem clear that such a benefit is being truly offered by your community.

2. How is your offered housing compatible with growing Christian families?

I see you have some mighty fancy modern-styled conceptual housing and tiny houses, how would you fit a conservative Christian family with 9 kids? or 12? or 14? (Several of the Christians homesteaders I have spoken to have families this size.) After all, among serious bible believing Christian families, lots of children are pretty standard.

I suppose I should reiterate that the Christian community we are developing is not a business, we will be entirely self-sufficient and are not charging for people to come to join us, just asking that they contribute what they can for the benefit of all. Hence, our community is free, orthodox in its doctrine, and family oriented and will be located in ideal homesteading conditions.

Hello. This is interesting. We are a family of 9 and leaving in only a few days for the lands of South Africa. We are seeking the Lord to discover his will for us as to where he should like us to live. We are already homesteaders in TN for 10 years. We are currently looking in the KwaZuluNatal Midlands, Underburg and Howick areas. Not only do we seek to continue to provide for our own family by growing our food, but we also seek refuge from wireless technology. We are looking for an environment where there is little or no EMF as one cannot provide when one is sick with radiation poisoning. We will be visiting multiple properties in S. Africa and hope to find out the locals' temperament regarding Americans. We like South Africa because it is large, the dollar is strong, the land is reasonable and ZA speaks English. We also have looked at Costa Rica, Belize, Central and S. America, but find most of these areas to be far too high in EMF's including 5G and 10G.

Our beliefs: We believe the KJV to be the inherent words of God preserved perfectly for English speaking peoples. And we believe the church is to live as an ensample for the flock and not to lord over them, but to entreat. That said we are more conservative than most "insert name here". Our women wear skirts and dresses, not because it is a rule, but because the spirit has lead them to not put a stumbling block before their brothers. Our women do not cover the covering God has already provided in our hair. We sing the old hymns written by men and women who had a superior faith to that which we find today and a better message that lacked the repetitiveness of today's so called "christian songwriters". We are not Orthodox. We are Bible Believing Born Again Christians saved by the blood of the Lamb, so I don't think we'd be a fit in your community. But, we don't mind having nice neighbors and we are happy to share our findings with you should that be helpful.

We believe that unless you are born of water and of Spirit you cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

We are Christians.

Greetings in Jesus name.

It is very interesting post.

Joshua I cannot find your website. I would like to know more about you, and how far you are in building up christian community.

If I undarstood you properly you receive all children as a blessing. We believe the same. We have 5 little children, which they are great blessing.

I try to follow Christ and I believe real way for Christian is when we take cross and deny ourselves, loving neighbors and enemies, no gathering treasures on the earth.

''And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.'' 1 John 2:3

Great commandment from the Lord is to love one another.

I think in many different movements were and are people who love Christ and Holy Spirit is leading them to this understanding.

I think this things are very important. Also I think when we can is good to be self-sufficient and to live more naturally.

We are looking for this possibilities. I will be very happy to meet people who are looking for the same.

May God bless you.

Michal
