Maybe the cat needs mending and just placed itself in the queue. How long have you been ignoring this obvious plea for help? Lol!

There were bad elves coming to rip out all your stitching. He was defending your mending from them, and exhausted himself. He definitely needs tuna for his bravery and dedication to your project when he wakes up.

That cat is not a he, it is a she.  Maybe teach her to mend.

Anne's correct, she's a she!

I confess that this particular cat gets catered to because she's our best mouser: mice, shrews, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits. She keeps the varmint populations under control! It's unusual that she's even in the house, she's such an outdoor cat.

I knew it was a she because of the coloring.

A male cat cannot have black/grey colors and red/brown colors because of the X/Y chromosomes.

That and she is considered to be a calico because of the coloring, just like my Tiny Kitty.

Really - she's just doing quality control. You wouldn't want to wear it in public and find bits still falling apart!

...and making sure it has a proper amount of fur on it. You wouldn't want the embarrassment of being caught in public without a proper amount of fur on your clothing.
