When my grown sons decided to take a snow day they both built themselves a sled. First I love they built them instead of buying them. Second I love they use stuff we had. Nothing was bought for the builds.  Both used part of a large unusable water tank for the bottom. My older son likes to weld, and his is made of old pipe, or metal tubing?  My youngest son used recycled wood we have.  The sleds worked great ( my youngest said he needs to modify the steering rutters) and they had a wonderful time. Just thought I'd share.

Give your grown sons a pat on the back, I love those sleds! It's always way more fun building than buying when it comes to stuff like that :D

Awesome, Jen. You have raised producers, not consumers. Producers are builders, and we can use all the builders we can get. Cheers!
