I have a bit of a twist on things that I see here and I’m not quite sure where to start a new discussion.
The scenario:
I’ll be full time living with a rooftop tent on top of my car, on the road, essentially backcountry/primative camping, working as a digital nomad.
My goals and interests are to:
- radically reduce expenses/save money
- make purchases and use items that are made of sustainable/ regenerative materials as much as possible (and preferred to be manufactured in the USA)
- learn permaculture skills through using my spare time, being a visiting boot, considering Ant Village, and attending Wheaton labs events, PEP badges etc
- locate farms/homesteads and other properties that allow camping and potentially work/trades (facilitates learning skills)
- source locally grown food on my travels
- ideas/recipe exchanges and ways to efficiently do food prep and avoid food waste, and tips on clean up in an outdoor environment
- May have other questions or discussions about solar power, power stations, 12v appliances etc
Thoughts where this might best be suited?
I see a lot of these topics already discussed but not quite how I am applying them.
Best wishes for a great experience and I hope these have answered some of your questions.

Broadly, I think a good technique is to post your thread into Meaningless Drivel.
And then use the Report button on your own thread!
Something like: "Hey lovely mods, I have no idea where this fits, so I posted it here. Can you help me out? Hugs and more hugs! You guys are the best!"
These are reports that our mods like to get. As opposed to the vile crapola they often have to deal with. They are volunteer humans after all. And they will definitely help you out.

Great ideas and suggestions, thank you! Can you tell me more about the "report button"? I've only been using permies for a few months, this is the first I've heard about it, and never seen it!
Easy-peasy! The menu bar at the top of your post has an ellipsis "..." at the far right. This opens an expanded menu including a "Report!" button, where you can drop a note to our fabulous moderators.
I'll report your post and request an apple for you, since I'm all out.

Oh, that's easy peasy!! Thank you for taking a moment to teach me that!
