yeah! I finally get some dove to cook up! I am going to freeze them till we have enough to make a meal.  at least 5. we aren't just swarming with dove here but with some patience I'm sure dh will get a few more. next year we will plan a little better and have some food plots going.

I have only cooked with dove breast before. It is a really lean meat with no fat so keep that in mind when cooking. I do a brine soak prior to cooking personally.

I like to wrap the breast with bacon and cook them on a stick kebab style. Add some bell pepper and onions and it is delicious.

I had it for breakfast once in an upscale restaurant.  .. Sautéed in butter with mushrooms and leeks.
