Hi! I am 38 years old and currently live in the PNW. The older I get, the more I realize I want homesteading to be my whole life, and for it to never end. For me, that would be heaven!

I want to put down roots, be close to nature, with a partner I trust and respect. To follow the rhythms of nature, have a purpose, be of use, connected to something greater than myself.

Some of my long term goals are:

Grow and preserve as much of my own food as possible.
Be as self-sufficient as possible.

I'm seeking a like-minded male partner whose goals and values align with my own. Ideally, I'd love to join you on your homestead! Or build it up together from scratch. I am a quick learner and love learning new skills. I love to garden, forage, cook, and ferment all the things.

I tend to be quiet, silly, playful, and positive. I have plenty to share and love discussing deep topics. I am more of a follower than a leader. I'd love to stay somewhere long-term, maybe forever if we get along well.

I’m divorced and I have an 8 year old daughter, who means the world to me.

Politically, I don't identify with either major party.

Physically, I am 4'11’’ and 93lbs, with gray eyes, auburn hair, fair skin, and athletic body.

I love hiking, foraging, cooking, gardening, rainwater collection, photography, mindful intimacy, meditation/yoga, star gazing, picnics, and camping to name a few of my hobbies.

I am open to talking to anyone, regardless of age or location, so if you feel we share mutual goals/interests, please message me! I'd love to hear from you

Hi me lady,
It is extremely nice to meet you, my name is Tim And I have to say that we seem to have a quite of things common, well honestly you are clearly unbelievably beautiful, and of course you you seem two have both of those two type of beauty also, your heart and soul, some of those can find one of those but once in awhile you might actually see true beauty inside.  I myself is when I really have looked for a real, true, happy, pleasant, woman who is also wanting to be adventurous, intimate, love to hold your hands, don't mind being your door being to be opened for you, I do no that I can be really the kind of a guy that I love to make sure  she is safe, and not hurt, and once in awhile I might have to pick her up in her and like to just carry her around for awhile lol, and if she will I would absolutely love to to kiss with her while I'm carrying around, but I also do want to live of grid to me it kinda makes the whole thing is what it makes it so precious and close with a possible woman, for some reason my lady that I adore of her  and loved her with my whole life five years ago, and honestly I have still yet to find that next girl, all I can tell you is the past and now is the news, I also believe that if we could find someone else that we can make it together no matter what because it would be together anyone can fall down get hurt and be scared , anyone can do that  it's the great ones the will always no we would be together and strong and  bonded

Hi Serena, Awesome to see your ready for homesteading!  I've realized the same as you.  I'm in Humboldt county CA working with homesteading friends and I've been saving and looking for the right opportunity to get my own land. I've spent time in Oregon as well.  I have the skills, abilities and passion to be successful!  I'm known to be reliable, physical, kind and driven to do good and be the example for others.
Cheers,
Ralph

Hello Ms. Hartwell,
Greetings from northeast Texas. This is Floyd and this is my second attempt to respond to your post. I spent about 45 minutes on Wednesday evening composing what probably would have been the eigth wonder of the literary world but it disappeared after I hit the submit button. Probably pilot error.
In the previous record of my musings, I stated that shortly after we discovered that the world did not come to an end after Y2K my darling bride of three years and myself decided to become more self sufficient and we bought 32 acres near Emory, Texas.
It was to be our family home, a place to raise our children and enjoy our retirement all while living the country dream.
Soon the bubble burst and the dream was gone. Turns out she didn't eat eggs from the yard, cared nothing for gardening and thought canning was unsafe and took too much work. The land has laid dormant for over 20 years. I did not give up and have amassed nearly everything needed to build and operate an off grid homestead. I have finally reached the point in my life that I can begin my quest this fall. We eventually divorced 3 years ago and she died 7 months later with pancreatic cancer. As I move forward I am excited for the days ahead.
As for myself, I am 5-10 and tend to carry a few pounds too many. I used to be as stout as a bull, now I'm just full of bull. I am not too serious and tend to be funny, friendly and outgoing. I am a proud native Texan of Czech descent. I am a carpenter by trade and can fix or build nearly anything. I spent a number of years in the fire service as a paid firefighter paramagic. I am fairly intelligent and what I don't know how to do I can learn. I like learning to do things as they were done before electricity. I do not use tobacco or alcohol, except on bug bites.

In your post you mentioned a term that I was not familiar with so I did the research and discovered that mindful intimacy is what I have been missing. I am a passionate and sentimental man who enjoys my part in mindful intimacy but, it takes two and evidently I have been unequally yoked, dang it !!
The whole caveat here is that I turn 65 next month. That may be too old for you and that's ok. I am still open to friendly conversation and profound discussions or just some questions and answer sessions.
I wish you well and appreciate your desire for a more harmonious existence.
Warmest regards,
Floyd

Hey Serena!
Nice to make your acquaintance.  A little about me and my goals, I believe we have a lot in common.
My name is Raymond Brogan, I'm 55 years young, athletic build and don't look nor act my age, you know us males, always a tiny bit immature at times. Lol

I was involved in a motocross accident a year ago, which resulted in a broken neck and left paralyzed from the neck down.  Recently, due to an experimental surgery, and Lots of physical therapy, I am happy to say I have recovered 95% of my mobility and sensations.  I am able to walk without using any aid and able to do most of what I was able to before the accident.  My surgeons believe I'll be 98% by end of 2023 and possibly 100% by mid 2024. I weened myself off of all medications, opiates and pain meds completely!  I know, amazing, right?  I am into weight lifting and the gym, have been all my life.  I did extreme sports, like always, but am told I should no longer do it now that I am able to walk and move again.  I thought about it, but being fed, bathed and changed by someone else, isn't something I desire again, so I am in agreeance.  With that being said, I spent the time in the hospital creating an idea (dream) that is now coming to fruition.

What is the idea you ask?  Well I am developing 160 acres of Nevada land with a connected 50,000 acres that BLM has agreed to sell me of their disposable land for this idea.  I am developing a "Total Off Grid Experience" air BNB.  I'm currently building the website you can view at https://offgrid.one

I had a significant other of 4 years that decided she didn't want to take care of someone who became paralyzed and left me, alone in the hospital.  Then when she heard I was able to move and walk again, wanted to continue the relationship.  It took me a nanosecond to say to her, "no thank you".

In any case, this off grid experience is more than living off grid alone.  This idea is that on there will be classes while you stay for a week to a month on our property to teach others about living off grid and being self sustainable and also removing the stigma around the lifestyle.

There will be solar power and wind power to provide all our electrical needs.  Running water, provided by our own wells.  So if one decided to book a stay with us, they can choose a tiny home, a 2 bedroom home or even a 3 bedroom to stay in.  Each with all the amenities you have in modern homes today, including internet and wi-fi.  We are closing a deal with Tesla for solar panels and powerwalls for our electricity.

We are offering guests classes, that are included in pricing, such as Horse back riding, green housing, farming/gardening, fish farming, composting, and much more.

We have adventures that guests can attend such as, horse back adventures, wild west adventures, where real native Americans in the area will visit and trade with guests, an off road adventure as well as a winter wonderland adventure.

So yes, we are off grid, we are going to be very big too complete with 100+ head of beef cattle, milking cattle, goats, sheep, chickens and yes, multiple species of fish, and horses! ( 40 to 45 in total).

There will be a total of 24 employees, ranging from cowboys/wranglers, house keepers, maintenance persons, whom will all be paid, and given housing, as well as picking and choosing food to eat on location.  Then there will be our house, should you choose, that is on the opposite side of the property.  I am building a fairly large house, 4 bedroom 3 bath, approx. 4000 square feet that when I find the right partner, a family can grow into.

So you see? We grow and raise our own food, we will also be smoking our own food, canning/jarring our own food as well as herbs and spices.

This is just the top of the iceberg!
I would love to invite you to join me in the begining stages to the final stage of this off grid and self reliance adventure.  And with hopes that we should decide on any children, they will be brought up in the lifestyle as well as leaving them a dynasty.

I too enjoy the activities as much as the ones you listed and believe we may have the same likes and goals in common.  I would like to have conversations and even meet soon to see if we are as compatible as I am sure we are.

It is very hard to find a woman with the qualities and desires that match, especially one who wishes to live off grid, and I can promise you that you will never feel the need of anything, never be treated wrongfully or disrespected by anyone.  Not only am I looking for someone to share and build this experience, I'm also looking for a future wife, partner, best friend and someone who understands the hard work that will be involved and not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to take you off the market!

You can reach me at rbroganis@aol.com.  I'll give you my number if and when you should decide.

Sorry, I tend to be blunt!
Yours,
Raymond Brogan

If you end up finding what you are looking for and staying in Oregon, my partner and I are looking for people to homestead alongside.  Southern Oregon specifically.  We are putting the "finding people" part ahead of the choosing of land, in hopes we can neighbor with others that have different skill levels and assets, interests, etc.  I'm really realizing that even with an amazing partner, we sure don't want to hit go on all of this, with just us.

Hello there I'm not a whole lot but I do have a small off-grid homestead I've been working on alone for the last 5 years
Well not exactly alone I do have 2 dogs and a cat up here
My cabin is located in the middle of a 22 acre hardwood stand it is raw land but I'm slowly advancing some agriculture moves
I was farm raised in Florida so this isn't a new type of adventure for me I would really like to hear from you and would love to have you and your daughter as a part of our little homestead
Oh by the way I'm located in the Ozark mountains in north central Arkansas
And I have my on income source so not needing an extra income to survive my name is Lawrence Luckey you can find me on Facebook
It is pretty here but would be prettier with a female around I have no children of my own hit me up on face book and I'll tell you more about me

Just curious if you have found what you are looking for. I have ten acres bought and paid for in SW Washington. I'm in the process of selling off my business and moving to my property full time. I have been recently been purchasing items that will be needed to start this off grid living. I have some equipment that will get my projects off to a good start. Things like a saw mill ( the property is loaded with mature Douglas fir) I have several storage containers and a small house ready. I have been a business owner for the last 17 years that repairs auto and RVs. Very familiar with making things work. Water and power will not be an obstacle. Would like to have a self sustainable garden and animals so that trips to town will be minimal. I have three grown daughters with the hopes that one of them might join. I am 51 yrs old and grew up in northern Maine. I would be interested in learning more about you and what it is that you would like to bring to the table.
PS not sure how to ad a picture can you help with that as well?

Hello,
I live in northern BC, and for some reason decided to look up permaculture dating. Who knew it may be a thing.
Then I read through all the other responses from guys to you and was impressed by some of them.
I am a healthy fit 51 year old who lives and works on a cattle ranch. I just finished the soil food web course and it had a section on permaculture.  It seems I have been dancing around it all my life. I have done food fermenting, composting toilets, barter instead of money, milked goats, raised gardens, and kept bees. I drove my last wife of twenty years nuts with my ideas and not really fitting in with where society is or where it is heading. It has been two years and the divorce is finalized. I have six children. The youngest is 9.
I like to laugh, but have a deadpan humour. You can reach me at mdjarnagin@gmail.com
I am open and sometimes I can actually listen.

I want to be able to walk out my front door naked if I want and run a chain saw at 2am. I want to do my art work and do enough side jobs to get by, I love wood working, forgery welding and just tinkering. I’m kind of a loner but I want to share my life with someone.
Call me text me do whatever y you want here’s my number 253-590-3308 my kids are grown and married but I would love to help bring up another and teach what I know about the outdoors.

Hi Serena:

This may be a different situation to consider. I have an inherited estate to share in Maritime Canada. My plans for it are a camping-glamping venue along with permaculture food production. Eventually I'd like to find one or more specialized interest groups or niche markets. Perhaps deep healing retreats like what I imagine Esalon was although ive never been there and it was probably more upscale than where my comfort zone currently rests.
Another example might be contemplative practices or even bird watching. My personal favorite is DUP, Dances of Universal Peace, which is a sort of group laturgical chanting with simple interactive movement. Demand for it is currently limited, however.
One local consultant said I have moss that some people would pay $100 a night to sleep on. Indian Brook bisects the proprty and the old mill stands near the vintage farmhouse. Water sports are limited to simming, fishing, canoeing & of course, the beaches 6 minutes away. Another suggestion for my wetlands is to produce colored willow for weaving. Mother said that when she was a child an indigenous neighbor would sit by the little bridge and weave basketry. Perhaps you have ideas that will attract compatible hearts.

Mother moved here at age 6 and said it was like walking into paradise. She and her younger brother went straight into the brook and stayed wet all day through 3 changes of clothes. Summers are dry here so a child would have to go unconscious first in order to drown.  Also the brook is right out the kitchen window. Two of the three bedrooms are empty and my contemplations have included a young child or two. Not likely to be my own although I'd make a much more patient parent than in my prime.

My status is ceremonialy , not legally, committed in a polyamorous sense, to a woman who turns 40 tomorrow. We talk a lot by phone since she is required to be living in AZ for the last three years due to her disability. A plan floats for her return in two or three years when she gets credentialed. I am pleased that we remain close at heart. I'm also pleased she feels well regarded in her new colony of eccentrics and with Bruce who holds stewardship of it. Over my years in Tucson i knew Bruce only as an interesting fellow that seemed too shy or too disinterested to converse. But now i love him deeply because of what i hear from Rebecca. He lives adjacent to another growing development of misfits where, by chance, my tiny home has been these last four years. I hope to spend time there annually.

I lived in Tucson for decades pursuing modern dance and theater and the day i realized my familial ties would call me away from my enchanted desert i pulled over in my vehicle to weep. That was well before meeting Rebecca in 2018. Polyamory is effortless at 71, as monogamy would be also i suppose. Every person is responsible to ask for what suits them and to accept only what cannot be changed. I am seeking an entrepreneurial partner more than a connubial one. That choice will, of course, be negotiated.  And, Gawd Willing, renegotiated many times over many years.

I wish you well pursuing your dreams and your life wherever you like and to whatever dream you pursue. Please know that if your disposition matches your face i would be honored to stand with you shoulder to shoulder and pleased to see deeply into your eyes.

Sincerely
Joshua
