I find this a never-ending source of annoyance for some reason.  As soon as some nice lady posts something in the single area, every desperate male in the world must somehow sense it.  A dozen people that have never posted on permies before will post something truly witty, like "what up?"  I can only assume the sharp wit displayed is indicative of your plight with regards to companionship, so I thought I would try to help.

If someone takes time to make a post telling about themselves in some detail, to include their background, what they like, what they are looking for, things that are important to them and the like, try to make some tiny effort to respond with something more than "your (sic) hot message me cuz your hot".  Maybe look at the thread you are responding to and respond with similar type information as the nice lady.

Try using punctuation and grammar.  A recent response had 9 lines of text without a single period, complete with random capital letters thrown in, and a spelling error in one of the first three words.  While this is probably okay if the person posting said "I'm hoping to find a moron", in most cases it probably won't help you find a lady.

If the lady is kind enough to post a picture, it may help your odds to do the same.  I get it, I don't want my picture everywhere either, but at least have one ready in case your witty response to the thread gets a message.

If you want to find a nice permie-type lady, maybe be an active member here so people will l earn a little about you.  I have "friends" here that I have never met, but know more about than people I deal with in "real life".  You can learn a lot about people on permies if you take time to post and read posts.  A lady looking for a partner may read your posts and find something that resonates.  It will probably work better than posting "how you doin?" on every singles forum you can find.

While it's a bummer in some ways, it's true that first impressions matter.  I understand that first impressions aren't going to be the same for everyone, but here are some of mine.  You respond to a nice thoughtful post with one line = lazy.  You respond with one line and don't use proper punctuation = lazy and stupid.  You respond with "I can tell you are beautiful inside and out and an amazing person and I will worship you from this day forward.  I can tell you are my soulmate" = oh, so desperate, not to mention, probable stalker.  You respond with "every woman I have been with has been greedy and spiteful and expected too much from me and I think all women suck but maybe you can prove me wrong" = you're an entitled turd that expects everything from a woman while offering nothing in return.

Best of luck.

Hey there Oswold, you seem realy beautiful!!! I'm looking for a soulmate who already has a working homestead, cuz I'd love to leave the big city and live off the land for the rest of our lives. Pleez post some pics and maybe we can get together!!!

Too stalker-ish? My wife thinks so.
