Hi all, new here. I am about to build a 120 square foot tiny home up on a tiny property I have in Sonoma county California. The property has no water.

I am trying to think of a way to recycle and filter water so that a hot shower is possible for the tiny home. I was thinking I could bring some big tanks and have them fill up with rain water. Then somehow use the water for hot showers and filter it to use for the next hot shower.

Anyone know of a good way to do this? Any input or direction appreciated!!

I have a bit to do with rainfall collection  and may be able to help.
Do you have rainfall records monthly for your area?
Can you install some additional catchment in the form of shade verandas?
Can you get IBC containers §of 1000L  capacity not those small 200L  barrels?
How will you heat the water?
I doubt you can realistically recycle shower water.

Welcome to the forum!

Here is someone who asked a similar question and this was suggested:

Eric said, "To filter and sanitize enough that you won't end up with stinky water is tricky. Most people I know that have tried end up giving up because they could never sanitize sufficiently to eliminate the odor.
