For most of the summer my wife has been plagued by eruptions on her skin. They appear on her arms, back, chest, and knees. She seldom goes outside.   A mix of coconut oil, eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, and clove oil seems to help…but not completely.  The spots do itch.   I have no such sores on me.

Calendula, plantain, and yarrow infused into olive oil or tallow, then add 5ml off 100% frankincense oil, and combine well. If the infusion isn't an option, I've also used pure frankincense oil in a roller bottle, and just roll a little on, whenever I think about it. Sounds crazy, maybe, but frankincense is incredible stuff, and can more than double cellular regeneration. And, it helps my itchiness, too, whether from bites, stings, or hives.

Is there something she's eating, or being exposed to, that her liver and kidneys aren't breaking down and excreting? Treating them is one approach, but I'm wondering how to narrow down what's causing them, and liver and kidney support might help the root of the problem.

Have you changed any detergent or soaps?

Have you consulted a doctor? I'm assuming she shouldn't have been exposed to unusual diseases like 'swimmers itch' which is spread by snails in some nearby areas to me as an example.

Did your wife start taking any new medications about the time this started?

I assume with your medical background you've looked at the obvious, and if I recall she's got several things going on.
Just thinking out loud here, it's been a hot summer with a decent amount of dirty air in many places. The sites with the lesions mostly are those that might come into contact with a couch or recliner if you were trying to chill around the house in the heat, wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts. I'd be wondering if this isn't some sort of contact allergy from one of these places.

Yes, we have a Dr appointment set up.  That will undoubtedly result in a referral to a dermatologist. And, if my guess is correct, by the time we see the dermatologist, the sores will be gone.

Sue has multiple health issues.

Isnt it always the way. Here's hoping she gets it sorted, no matter how, definitively and soon.

While this may be caused by something external, skin issues are often a sign of something going on internally as well. I see that others have suggested allergies, which is a good start. But has her doctor done any blood tests to see if she is suffering from any kind of deficiency or toxicity? Have they done any skin samples to see if it could be bacterial? A dermatologist is likely to do the latter but not the former.

Without knowing her medical history, here are some other suggestions she could try:

- get started on a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement
- take a collagen supplement, or SMS, both of which are necessary for cell regeneration
- there are other essential oils that work well for bacterial and fungal infection. Try using a blend like Thieves (Young Living) or make up your own using Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Lemon essential oils in a carrier like liquid coconut oil, which is also antibacterial. Oregano and Thyme are also effective.
- what is her gut health like? Many skin symptoms can be faced back to poor gut health. Try removing sugar, wheat, dairy and processed foods from her diet so her gut can rest and rebuild good bacteria. Take a probiotic as well.

I hope these help!
