Would you rather perfect watering or speedy processing?

I started a thread to get "Would You Rather" style questions to start conversations here -> https://permies.com/t/238000/Permaculture-Edition#2203263 That thread is more for thinking up questions. This thread is for answering them.

So... Would you rather have a magic fairy who would keep your garden watered at just the right amount all season long or a magic wizard who could process and preserve all of one crop in a single second?

Easy decision for me,  I want the watering. I don't mind canning etc, I like it, but I SUCK at keeping things watered properly in this climate. Can the fairy get my houseplants too? They whine sometimes....

I vote for watering, but only if said fairies pay for it as well.

I'm going with the water faerie, sometimes when I go on trips in the hot months the plants have to go an extra day or two without water and I come home and they're droopy.  Because I'm still in an apartment with a patio and potted gardening I'm not in a situation (yet?) where I need to hurry and process bulk crops before they go off.  So definitely the watering.

These questions are really fun, keep them coming.

Water fairy of course.  Since I live in one of the driest places on earth a magic source of water would be fantastic.

I really need help with processing. So many good things, greens and berries especially, go to waste because I am too slow with that part. (Except when I overstuffed the jar with garlic mustard and it exploded.) I will take the wizard.

But in reality it’s an issue I need to figure out independent of any magical assistance.

This is a hard one, because while I would really need the processing experience, my childhood memories of that time are hectic.
So I would prefer perfect watering.

Wait - does "all of one crop" mean only all of one vegetable? Because then I'd choose one veggie to have someone else process (probably a root cellar crop), and I would focus on canning, dehydrating, and freezing to get the time-management and practical experience.

Easy processing.   Harvest comes at the time of year when it's too hot to do anything, especially put the stove on.

Watering, I can do after the sun goes down and my chores are finished.  It's amazing how much the land has to teach us after dark. Where the dew gathers, early frost patches, and places that warm up before sunrise which would be perfect if we ever kept bees.
