Paul's new Carbon Footprint video was just released.  It's talking about each person's carbon footprint of 30 tons.  He mentions a few ways to lower that!  The seed planting and growing my own food sounds very effective.

Any other ways to lower our carbon footprint?

One big thing we started doing was cooking foods in the oven section of our masonry heater. It heats up nicely when we have a fire for heating the house, and I can stick a stew in there to cook over the night. Smaller electric bill and carbon footprint, plus lunch ready the next day!

I'd say the Better World Book would probably be the best option for exploring these topics.. I have not gotten too far with reading it yet, I might have to switch to the audiobook and listen to it while doing chores. Life with a toddler is busy!
