Had a thought last night while contemplating this forum. Turns out it's not original as I found while searching the Internet for topic suggestions. Anyway, having read the posts on this forum regularly for some time now I reached a conclusion: Many of us here, self included, seem to be in various stages of residence on the, Island of Misfit Toys. Some missing a piece here or there; Others with run down batteries; Communications systems that are not functioning up to par. Then we have too, the, "New In The Box" toys; Always there with an uplifting word or dash of wisdom, having walked a similar path in years gone by. Hang in there folks. Life isn't easy sometimes, but it can be grand if you make. Keep your head up, and thanks for the kind words spoken by those doing well, to those in the battle.

Regards.

I definitely belong on the island of misfit toys! Thanks for posting. But if you pull my string, I'll always say something encouraging or helpful. I hope...

Interesting title.

I am not on a MisFit Island.

I am where I belong.

May 2013, I found my place on this earth and have not looked back.

Best wishes for all that fit that are on MisFit Island.

I think its a metaphorical thing, I don't think it means we all feel like we haven't found our place yet, for some people it does, but for others I think it means our "place" is unique so people around us don't always "get it", but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Hi Richard,
I love the painting of community members having tea. I am a little on the island of misfit toys. I'm also kinda like the little engine that could. I'll keep going and offering to give a place for families to create their dreams. And, I have to face the fact that at some point, I might have to go to where it's already working. Words of encouragement  always do help. Thanks for your post.
