I clicked on this Nest BB because I didn't know what it was.  Wow!  I had no idea you could protect your wooden kitchen utensils!  Absolutely amazing!  I've lubed a lawn mower...you'd think I would have figured this out on my own!  Nope!  lol

I used Red Palm Oil because I don't have Black Walnut oil and I figured I would like the color of the oil on the wood.  Plus, I'll know which items have been oiled "at a glance".

Wooden Kitchen utensils to oil with Red Palm Oil.

Oiling kitchen utensils with Red Palm Oil.  I love the color!  Yellowish.

All kitchen utensils and cutting boards oiled.

Cool BB!  I learned something new!  I'll be keeping my utensils oiled from now on!

I used EVOI for the oiling. No walnut oil on hand.

Here I oiled 6 wooden kitchen utensils, although I admit that the mallet is my boyfriends'. We used coconut oil because we has plenty of it on hand.

So here's me oiling my kitchen woods with walnut oil. Who would have thought that this was a thing? My mother never told me. My grandparents were zipper-lipped. And now I'm here turning over a new leaf, learning all kinds of new skills.

And it's evidently a monthly thing, so....

My spoons and cutting board are going to be so happy.

I oiled 2 cutting boards, salad tongs and 5 wooden spoons.

I used a blend o coconut oil and beeswax. I dig some out with a spoon, warm it in my palm and vigorously rub it into the wood.
