Now tried 4 more times to add photos. And this is why I'm not posting much at all.

Hi Deedee I split off your post. Maybe someone can work out why you're having issues.
Have you a problem with slow internet generally or is it just Permies?
What computer system (phone/browser) do you use?

Are you trying to upload photos as attachments to your posts or are you trying to use images from other site hosts?

I think I'm using Google. I'm in a location that isn't consistent in reception.  I don't have an independent internet device/router thingy. I don't have trouble posting to places like Facebook or ordering from Amazon.  And my only access is by way of my android cell phone.

Not just photos. I typed quite the inspired post of about 3 paragraphs that was lost upon hitting the post button. I tried again from a different location,  attempting to recapture the inspiration. I added 2 photos and hit send. Disappeared again,  lost forever to wherever these things go.

This isn't the first or 2nd time.  While I was still in California on a desktop, I experienced this a time or three. I get very frustrated when my inspired writings vanish, poof, are lost to wherever they go. So I end up not posting at all, not even knowing if it's at my end, your end, or just in the air!

I understand getting frustrated because this has happened to me.

I type a long post and it just vanishes.

What I have started to do is to write the post somewhere else and then copy and paste the post to the forum.

Some folks use Word or something like that though I just write my posts as an email, copy/paste to the forum, and delete the email.

For pictures that are on your phone, that method would be to add the picture as a attachment to your post.

Yes, this happens to me too, usually when our Internet is poor. I do what Anne says and write my posts elsewhere, in a notes app or an email app and then copy and paste. If I write directly on permies and it ends up being a lengthy post that I don't want to risk losing, I'll copy it before I hit submit.

I notice it's the photos that generally cause issues so sometimes I'll post those separately and never more than one or two unless I'm in town where I can get better reception on my phone.
