Over the past two years I have immersed myself into essential oils, medicinal herbs and clean eating for better health.  Do any of you share this interest? What seems to work the best for you?  Until I did this, I didn't even realize how much inflammation I had going on in my body.  Now my back just cracks out of the blue multiple times per day.  Most of the inflammation went away with the diet change.  Tell me what you are doing to stay in good health.  My medicinal plant seeds just shipped from Strictly Medicinal Seed company, and I cant wait to have fresh lemon balm tea this year again.  So relaxing!

Hi, Tamara! Welcome to permies! There are actually quite a few of us who claim the title of 'herbalist', here. Some of us (including me) are simply home/ family herbalists, taking care of ourselves, our own families, and sometimes neighbors and friends - and animals. A few of our members are bonafied, published, clinical herbalists.

Here are a few forums that might answer your questions, and maybe even some questions you didn't know you had, lol:

Welcome to the forum!

I have enjoyed learning about different medical herbs and have planted a few.

I like making tincture and I have several different essential oils that I use.

As you can see from my signature I am a big fan of Stephen Herrod Buhner.

I have one of his books and another one by a RN that was highly recommended.

Hi, Tamara!
Lemon balm is one of my favorite herbs in my garden. I hope it grows well for you!
I dabble with herbs and food as medicine, continually learning what I need to for my family. I do very little with essential oils, but those reasonings can be a controversial topic. Herbs as tinctures, teas, oils, vinegars, and food is more my style.
