Thanks guys. It works for me anyway. Everything is showing. It's my barbecue core, topped with a refractory plate and barrel cover, to make a pizza oven. It will definately need insulation. But i don't know how yet.

Nice. The opening looks a little small but that may be from the picture. Will you be able to get the pizza in and out of there easily? I would assume that the metal top would be incredibly hot to handle but maybe I am wrong.

The opening is the smallest i could make it, to keep heat inside. About 350cm² for a csa of 324. It's losely based on Peter's horizontal batch rocket. With the venturi port at the back of the bigger firebox. 30x30x50cm firebox, 18x18x88cm heat riser. 70% of the 18x18 csa venturi port. The metal top will need to be insulated. It's radiating too much heat. And doesn't even get that hot!

Curious here on how you built it. Did you install an air intake in the back?

One more question, I am a little confused about the 70% comment...how did you create the venturi? Did you narrow the passage or create a trip?

Hi Rion.

Well, narrow the passage. You've never seen a Donkey/Canyon/Peterberg batch rocket?

Here's my barbie build. Not my first rocket barbecue, nor my first horizontal rocket.

And here the stroy of the developement of the horizontal batchbox.

Hope this clears things up. My build has no concrete. Just the vermiculite a bit squashed to hold the parts together

There are different ways to change pressure, that is why I asked.

I have seen a little of the Peterberg stuff on the internet. I have no idea who Canyon is and Donkey has a board.

Satamax, Since the links don't work from the other site, why don't you just post the pictures of your builds on here?
