I know we have some threads on meat pies though I saw this and wow, I want to make this:

Source

The recipe  calls for a lot of pre-made ingredients so I am going to make up my own recipe using ground beef and diced potatoes, maybe in a gravy or white sauce.

I did a search for the Magic Pie Crust I had previously posted so I am going to use this one:

ingredients

2 cups flour
1⁄2 cup oil (preferably canola)
5 tablespoons water

directions

Mix oil and water and add to flour to form dough.
   Divide into two equal parts.
   Roll between wax paper.
   Cook pie as required.
   Easy, Easy.

Anne, that looks really good. It reminded me of my favorite meat pie.  I discovered these when I was in the Air Force stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana.

It looks like a slice from a giant Cornish pasty! If you pre-cook all the ingredients I bet it won't take as long as they say to cook through, since it will only be the pastry needing cooking.

The human mind is a dangerous plaything. This tiny ad is pretty safe:
