Notification bell icon does nothing in mobile view

Well the icon may highlight and unhighlight but nothing more
So I remembered to try desktop view and that works
I desktop view you get a popup

Perhaps a popup or other type of indicator that says switch to mobile view for notifications?

I'm typing this from my desktop computer but the vast majority of my time on Permies is spent on mobile.
I tend to have far too many windows and tabs open but, especially for mobile, I find this helps.
The very first tab in my mobile browser is a desktop view.

Sometimes, my browser (Brave, a chromium based browser) will assume that I want all  my Permies tabs to be in desktop view...
... which makes reading normal threads a touch more difficult.

I find that if I select the right  page, the desktop mode is limited to that one tab and I'm able to interact in mobile view with others.

From my understanding, there is no mobile view for this page (when I click mobile view nothing happens), which I'm guessing is why it doesn't switch other tabs, and for that I'm grateful.

I can click the bell icon and see my notifications yet preserve the mobile view for everything else.

Maybe you can use a similar trick?
