Where do I find this recent topics tab in mobile view?

I saw a screenshot in this post https://permies.com/p/1765715 of a screen I've never seen before. When I look at the all forums list, that's all it is. There are no tabs at the top. Can someone please tell me where I go to see that page? It might make mobile view usable for me!

When I go to forums through the menu in the top left corner, I get this view.

The second little symbol in the upper left corner will have the recent topics option for users wiih PIE.

You can also scroll to the bottom of any page on permies and click the "Desktop view" button. I know a lot of people use Desktop View on their mobile devices. I don't use a mobile device, so I'm not sure how well it works that way, though. It probably depends on your screen size.

Hmm. I don’t have pie or never had pie and I do have the ”most recent” tab as the pic below shows BUT all it does is it scrolls down under all the lists of forums, there are the most recent threads.

If you just manually scroll to the end of the forum lists, are they there?

I know recent topics is a pie feature, but I could see Saana didn't have pie, so I figured this was something else.

If I scroll to the bottom of the list of 8 million forums, I just get the normal footer, no recent topics.  Your link just takes me to the all forums list, Saana. Maybe you glitched into a pie feature and I just ratted you out 🤦

I don't know how people use mobile view when you can only look at one forum at a time. There are too many forums to click on very many in a sitting, so you end up missing really interesting stuff. Maybe all the mobile users have pie. I'll just keep using desktop view.

This is how it has always looked like for me. The icon right to the menu button that has the recent topics -option just takes me to the pie information page.

So do people with pie have the ”most recent” tab on mobile view?

Yeah, I'd be interested in what other people see. The mobile version of this site makes no sense to me the way I'm seeing it, so if your view is normal, that would explain a lot.

I am happy with the recent topics table using desktop on my phone....seems to work just fine and everything is there, just tiny

I tried the mobile view and yes, frustrating with no pie.

Not sure there's a disadvantage to using desktop on the phone?
Might use more data?

I'm generally happy with the desktop view on my phone, too, Judith. Sounds like I've got the same setup as you. I've got good eyes (when my glasses are on, anyway 😀) so I can keep it zoomed out quite a ways and don't even have to scroll around much. For just reading through a long thread, the mobile view is nicer to look at, though.

The mobile view might actually use more data in certain situations because if you like someone's post, the whole page reloads 🙄

It is a new feature added a month or so ago.

It should be available to all (no pie requirement).

Can you give more information about the phone, browser, etc to help use figure out what is going on?

Also, if you go to: Edit Profile > Site Personlization, what are your "Default View" settings?

I tried three different browsers, one of them very outdated, and got the same results on all three, so I think browser is irrelevant.  

I can see the tabs when I'm not logged in. Once I log in, it seems to be the home page view settings that do it. If I have that view set to anything other than default, the tabs aren't there. None of the other settings seem to make a difference.
