What can I Make with a Waffle Iron?

It is summer and it is hot so I don't want to heat up the kitchen.

I see on some of the cooking show challenges where the folks use unusual items to cook with.

So what have you tried cooking with a waffle iron?  Or think might be possible?

Both grilled cheese and hot PB&J sandwiches. I did something with ramen noodles -- maybe fried them into a patty in the waffle iron and then made a pizza out of that; it was a decade ago.

Any grilled veggie from the garden is great on the waffle iron.   Zucchini or sweet peppers are lovely with salt, pepper and garlic.  Hash Browns would be fun.  We are pulling new potatoes out from around the plants already.
