For the past two years, my signature has remained the same. It's sort of a to do and wish list. It's what I aspire to. I've noticed that most members don't volunteer nearly so much detail and few keep typing until they exhaust the number of characters allowed. I've wanted to change it for a year, but didn't figure out how until tonight.

I like the quotes thing, but rather than quoting just famous people, I've decided to quote forum members. I'll only quote funny stuff or stuff that I agree with. Don't expect to see anyone's worst moment down there. I plan to edit it fairly often. I'm not above the idea of quoting myself. Any and all ideas are on the table.

Here are a few choice nuggets. Feel free to deposit quotes that you glean from our members. Nothing really long that requires context please.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soon to be famous quotes list. ---------------

The level of zealotry is unnerving! --- Paul Wheaton. re: eco witch hunt

The "redistribution" aspect is an "Urban Myth" as far as I know. I have only heard it uttered by those who do not have a food forest, and are unlikely to create one. --- John Polk

I haven't bashed the concept. Should I ever choose to do that, you'll see a no holds barred expose' worthy of George Will. --- Dale Hodgins

Prove it --- Tyler Ludens

Add something to the list and I'll choose some for my new signature.

"DALE! BEHAVE YOURSELF!!!" --- That's what she said.

I'm going to find quotes that are humorous sometimes, but they should also offer sound advice.

Whenever I'm told "DALE! BEHAVE YOURSELF!!!" , I run it through my translator. It comes out something like this. --- Dale, try to dumb it down, so as to not offend the barely literate or those with parasitic tendencies. --- I love my translator.

Jack Spirko has lots of neat quotes to his credit, but for some reason, this is my favorite --- Dale, ask Paul and he will tell you the following words are something I almost never say.

I am 100% completely in agreement with you on every word of what you just said.

Man that almost never happens if there was a smilie for standing applause here, I would have inserted it for you.

Thank you Kelly. Is there a certain member to credit this one to ? I'm trying to only quote original material from members of the forum. I have nothing against famous quotes or stuff gleaned elsewhere. I just like keeping it local.

Yes, I've read Adam's post where that comes up. But, Mr. Scott has already used it. A famous director like Ridley Scott is bound to have some strong opinions on plagiarism.

Swapping it out again. Decided to go with some of my own stuff.

mea Culpa ! I remember the quote, and a little niggling feeling of pride that I had kinda helped smooth a path for that Fellow member and Rocketeer.

-And that his exact turn of phrase was exactly what was needed to make sense of all the wordage I was dropping on a 'Newbie'!

I was talking about the low Heat Storage and Transport of Just-Cob as compared to heavy dense Stone! and putting in a lot of the Stone!

The quote from the fellow member "I thought of it as a Cob and Rock Lasagna'' from is well timed quote and the rest of the thread we arrived at :

The more rocks you put in a Rock and Cob Lasagna- the more time you save not making up Cob

Found it ! Thank you ! Thomas Rubino Sept 28th 2014 I Google searched our Article base ! and there it was!

And give your self a nod and a tip of the hat for your praise of your Electric Chainsaw " No more accidental trigger squeeze and you can hear what
the wood is doing !'' Big AL
