Ok, we may have to do this by email, ajilaamafarm@gmail.com is my email IF you don't see me responding on here... I am running Linux Ubuntu and firefox as my web browser. every aspect of the site seems to be working fine, except I cannot reply to posts. Obviously, I can make posts, but my browser isn't recognizing the buttons as active links (it doesn't turn into the little hand/finger)... can anyone help me here? I'd love to be a part of this community, but not if it means I have to use windows to do so. I haven't tried downloading and using chrome yet...

anyhow, just curious as it seems odd that all other aspects of the site are working except what I "THINK" are the buttons to reply to a thread...

ok... this is even weirder... I CAN reply here, but not anywhere else? Would I be locked out of my own threads I just started in other forums?

I've no idea what's happened! It shouldn't have been because you're a newbie. We did update the software today so it's possibly a glitch because of that. I'll pass the info on to the techie team and see if they know anything.

You need to log in to post, of course. What might not be so obvious is there's a time-out of (guessing) about 20 minutes when the server logs you off if there has been no activity. At least that has been my observation. Once you open a reply window it _appears_ that the server will keep you logged in longer but that's just a guess - I tend to spend time w/the reply window open and I used to have have to log back in when I "Submitted" the reply but that hasn't happened for a while.

It appears to me that you can "Edit" your posts for a limited time after you submit them - perhaps 1 hour? IAC, you can't "Edit" anything the following day.

Hope that helps.
