Hi.  Just wondering why this thread is apparently closed at this point, when several members were able to reply previously?  https://permies.com/t/99799/Dewalt-Flexvolt-cordless-tool-system

Appears to be open and I can't see any evidence of anyone locking it.

Are you still having problems?

There's no reply button for some reason.
Maybe no reply button because it is in the 'staff review' forum so only staff can post there now?

Looks like it started in the staff review forum then was added to the gear forum, which is now the main forum.  And it looks like at least some of the posts were made after the move.  Which is confusing.

I still have a reply button, but I'm staff.  So I suspect something iffy about the settings for the staff review forum has happened over the last couple of days.  Can someone summon Devaka?

I tested it from some different views.  Fire fox and chrome are both working.

What kind of browser are you using?  What view are you using?

I'm on firefox, windows 10, old HP desk top.  The same lack of 'reply' button showed on my tablet also...windows 7 something or other, firefox, refurbished Dell...

Regular view, not mobile.

I looked at a few threads in 'staff review' and none of them have a a 'reply' button does not show.  Makes sense that only staff would post in 'staff review' though.

I'm using an iPad on AT&T dial up, using Safari. The reply button is there in my view.

Interesting thought — but Eric Hansen and Dillon Nichols have both replied, and neither are marked as "staff".  So?

We have someone super-clever (or is that supper-cleaver? = two words I often spell wrong)...  An amazing person who we love and adore and fixes lots of things is looking into it.

It may be it's working exactly as designed.  Or maybe it's not.

We'll find out.

thanks for reporting this.

I'm sensing a pattern.

Pollinators and above have a reply button.

Everyone else doesn't?

This may not be correct.

Neither do I, but some wonky things have been happening on this forum lately...like spell check not working unless you highlight a word in bold, then all your spelling mistakes get underlined in red. That is why my posts have had so many misspellings, edits, and words in bold.

I think we've tested this pretty well, and most pollinators can post, as well as staff. But maybe the Master Pollinator title is so new that the forum doesn't recognize it. Anyway, it looks like the forum was made for just staff to review stuff, waaay back in the day.

I went and removed the https://permies.com/t/99799/Dewalt-Flexvolt-cordless-tool-system from the Staff Reviews forum. Hopefully now everyone will be able to post!
