THere are pines every where here in south georgia I was wondering if baled pine straw could be used as a building material? I ran across a straw bale house book at our locale library i couldn't help but wonder.

They COULD, but... they are not as insulative as straw and they are EXPENSIVE, at least they were back when I lived in NC.

You would be better off selling the needles to buy supplies like straw bales. If you have local access.
