I just dropped the price of
the permaculture playing cards
for a wee bit.

uses include:
- infecting brains with permaculture
- convincing folks that you are not crazy
- gift giving obligations
- stocking stuffer
- gambling distraction
- an hour or two of reading
- find the needle
- find the 26 hidden names

Folks,

If this is in the wrong form, please feel free to relocate or remove it. I did my best to pick the right place to share this!

I am taking geoff lawton's Online PDC that is currently taking place. Having a blast and learning a lot of new information.

With that, I decided I wanted to do an overview/review video each week. My intentions are two fold: To reemphasize my own learning and draw more people into permaculture. I have been quite pleased with the comments of my regular viewers. After my first video I did submit a support ticket to Geoff's team and got the "thumbs up" as it were to continue making the review videos (lest I be infringing on something).

All of that said - I thought I would share the videos here. We are already in week 6, so I am behind in inviting you all. My apologies.

Here is the link to the current playlist, and the links to each particular video. From here on out I will reply to this thread with a link to the lastest video, should you wish to follow along with.

Thank you all in advance and please feel free to offer any thoughts. I do these videos with nothing but my own limited skill and software - as such I know they could be better, but I hope they are still "good videos". Any advice or comments are welcome.

Hi Jared and thanks for sharing - what an awesome idea!

There is a forum here dedicated to people who are taking (or have taken) Geoff's online PDC. We have crosslisted your thread there.

These are great videos! Thank you for sharing.

I really admire your interest in sharing / teaching concepts as a way to reinforce your own knowledge and learning.

You're a great teacher by the way.

Update: Water.

For this video I visited a few local spots, since I don't have many water features to speak of on my property (yet).

I find that information is more solidified in my brain if I study the info and organize it in a way that I am able to explain the info to someone else. Looking forward to watching your videos!

Wow, Thanks so much for this. I have been setting up each course for discussion here on the forum Jarad. So maybe you can add your videos to those segments as well so they may sense with the dicussion thread. You can see the links to the separate segments as they are introduced, here.

Links to seperate Lawton PDC segments in this forum post.

Sure, I can do that. Thanks for the offer. I'll add links in when I come back onto the forms tomorrow to add the link to my Earthworks overview.

Thanks again,

Jared

Here is the latest installment, Earthworks.

Since we are still brand-spanking-new at this, I took to the basics for a demonstration in this video and lashed together an A Frame level.

Enjoy!
