Does anyone know what this is? I found it in the barn and I'm guessing it has something to do with weaving.

Thanks all!

looks like a warping board/frame to me...set up the other way round it would be at a nice height for winding a warp.
It probably measures 36" from side to side as an easy way to measure a warp.

nice find!
any other bits and pieces related to weaving in the barn?

Thanks, Judith! Being unfamiliar to the world of weaving, I am still a bit confused about what that is but I will have to go and investigate. I knew it had to do with weaving because it had string on it and the previous owner had a giant loom and ran a craft shop out of her house. I did not find anything else having to do with weaving in the barn, although I did find some skiis and an antique scythe that looked pretty neat.

Yes, you have a warping board. Congratulations.
As Judith suggests, the other way up if you are going to use it.  The two pegs closer together are where "the cross" takes place, which separates out the warp threads and keeps then in strict order for threading.
Some of the other pegs may be moveable, so the warp length can be wound to the calculated length for the project.
Too much information?  Sorry, I'm well into this stuff

Good night. Drive safely. Here's a tiny ad for the road:
