Hello All!  Tess here. Was wondering about the SKIP PEP program. Am I understanding correctly, that we just start on a badge project, document from start to finish (at various stages) and then post for verification? Also, can we start on any subject? For example, I can cook already (I better know how to cook at my age!! LOL), so can I start on a basic sewing project instead? I have a lot of interests in skills I want to acquire, as well as hone. I guess the question is where is the best place TO start?  Thanks!!  --Tess

Hi Tess,

I think so. And document according to their instructions. Here you go...

Others can explain better than I though I say just pick one, follow the detailed instructions, post required pictures and any other requirements:

https://permies.com/f/404/pep-food-prep-preservation

https://permies.com/f/408/pep-textiles

Something from those will get you started.

Then find something that you want to improve on like gardening:

Thank you Anne & Les!! Being so new, I want to make sure I stay within the guidelines per PEP & PEA.  My goal is to work on one easy one (one I already know pretty well how to do) and one I know a little on to improve my abilities.  There is a few rules that I am not sure on; for example for cooking it says no plastic, does that mean I can't use meat I bought at the store b/c of the packaging it came in?  I use glass jars & containers for nearly everything, and I do re-use any plastic bags for groceries I have.  I'm likely gonna have lots of little questions like this until I get the swing of things.  Thanks for your responses!!  --Tess

I just dove into a project to get the BBs I have earned. There is a list of the 20 easiest BBs in this thread.

Thank you Jeremy!  I will check this list out.  I've been surfing the different forums reading on the various projects I'm interested in. Just getting the way things work here. Loving what I am seeing & learning so far.  --Tess
