The Vision:
I am reclaiming a beautiful, overgrown patch of land and turning it into a "fabulous" self-sufficient community. My head is full of ideas for a massive veg patch, a proper playground, and space for animals. Currently, however, the hedges are winning and the fences are down!
The Exchange:
I am looking for a like-minded soul (or souls) who wants to get their hands dirty.
What I need: Someone with a tractor 🚜 (to help with the heavy lifting, hedge-topping, and post-hole boring) and a heart for community.
What I offer: A quiet field to camp/park up in and a seat at my table. I am a clean-cooking enthusiast—no processed crap here.
The "Test Subject" Clause:
I regularly go on "Bakeathon" benders. I need someone willing to be my official test subject for fresh-out-of-the-oven experiments. If you like homemade bread, hearty stews, and real food, you won't go hungry.
The Goal:
I’m looking for someone to start with a trial period to see how we get on. If our vibes mesh, there’s room for this to grow into a long-term community fixture.
Location: Newcastle Emlyn
Diesel: I’ll cover the fuel for the tractor work done on-site!
Drop me a message if you want to break bread and clear some brush.

Welcome to permies Stacey!

Is that a kiddies playground, one for adults, or for the animals ? It's a race against time for a veggie patch this year. Do you have much deer presence there, or just the livestock? I'm sure I had a hoiday near Newcastle Emlyn ages ago - is there a woollen mill near you?
It sounds like someone with a tractor could have a fun working holiday, even if things didn't work out long term - good luck!

I used to have family down that way. I have a lovely huge craft person handmade willow wicker basket that I commissioned at the NE market by the Castle, and brought home on the train from Aberystwyth to Birmingham. (My family gave moved closer to Aber now).

With such cold nights this Spring in these isles, and dry days, we're many of us behind.

If you've got plants ready under cover you could make quite a kitchen garden still this year.

Best of luck!

Oh wow - my partner and I are from that area.

Last time I was over there we spent far too long hanging out around the internal fire museum and the teifi valley railway, and a quick look at the falls of course...

I wish you every luck and joy with your project!

Edit to add that you might enjoy this post about hatching dragon eggs bringing your dreams and ideas to life. I suspect you can relate...
