Android Galaxy phone.

My forum view is set to always display desktop view. Always. Never mobile view. I REALLY LIKE DESKTOP.

Of late, when on Permies, my view randomly alternates between desktop and mobile. Eeewww!!! Most everywhere else I go on the net, I only know the mobile view. I do not know if this is a problem with my phone, connection, or Permies.

So, is it me? Or is it you?

The same thing happens on my iPhone. It used to happen a lot. Then for a long time -- six months? a year?, it was way better. Fairly recently, like in the last two or three weeks, it got worse again. It very frequently loads in mobile view, which I despise, but I think it always reloads in the correct view if I tell the page to reload.

But but but. If I tell it to reload, I loose my green line!

Oh, I hadn't noticed that. I don't use my phone here as a regular thing. Mostly just to check thread progress when I get an email in the evening when I'm away from my PC.

I've had that happen also, on my android phone when I click on a link to permies from my gmail...sometimes...not so often lately.

And yes, I lose the green line.

I have desktop set somewhere and never deliberately use mobile.

edit...ha! just now from my email it went to mobile...I refreshed the page and I'm back to desk top.

I wonder if it's a browser setting.   I remember i had to find a setting in the browser to stop it trying to convert pages to mobile view.

Ugh. I hate crawling through settings. Can't find nothing.

I think the only place I set to desk top was at the bottom of the page where the choices are in red type and mine's been set for monthsyears.

It seems like it's just when I use the email link to get to a post that it happens so permies itself must hold on to the setting and we can blame gmail😊

I've noticed that most of the time, when it does that to me, I need to reboot my phone.(Samsung Galaxy, 22+)
