That is great news Tim!

Thanks everyone for all your helpful hints and suggestions, I do much the same taking near pencil size cuttings but it is great to see the other ideas. Come Spring, I am definitely going to try ground layering a few of the lower branches of my rabbiteye blueberries! Happy growing my friends!

Blueberry cuttings growing new shoots. Now I need to think when to take these out of the garage and put them outside for our mild winter.

What is the best time of the year to take the suckers aka shoots from the mother plant and transplant them.I’m in Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau.

I like to move them right after the leaves fall.

They have just gone dormant at this point, so the transplant shock will be very minimal, and they will have a chance to get adjusted to the new location and send out some more good roots before the next growing season.

And welcome to permies Lewis!
