The price for gift codes is different than for buying the item for yourself, so it could be that's why you were charged differently? I think both of you already owned Care and Feeding of a Rocket Mass Heater (probably through a kickstarter reward), and so went for giftcodes instead, and that could  have impacted things.

If your country/province doesn't' have VAT, you could try buying it right now. It's not set up on Gumroad yet (since it's sold by someone other than Paul, we have to be respectful to the seller)

I think the only reason it went wonky after your first try is because you already had access to it. For new content, it should work great.

Gumroad has this thing called "Gumroad Discover"--basically, it's kind of like ebay or etsy, and allows everyone to search Gumroad and find your product. You can see it here: https://gumroad.com.

But, when I search "permies" there, none of our listings show up--this is a bummer, because we could potentially share permaculture with a bunch of people if we did.

I've been looking into it, and it looks like we don't show up on "Gumroad Discover" unless the product has a review. It would be totally awesome if we could test this! If you've happened to purchase something through gumroad and leave a review, make a post here about it and we'll see if it did the trick (I'll be serving up pie and apples to those that help out. Mmmmm, pie!)

It looks like the reviews might, indeed, be the magic we need to show up on Gumroad Discover, because we're still not showing up there .

SO! We're going to test it! Paul had me set the price on the Permaculture Playing Cards to $1, and here's the direct link so anyone, anywhere (US, non-US) can purchase it and put in a review. Let's see if this works!
