Matthew, Bigelow Brook Farm has a geodesic greenhouse, and they built in a rocket mass heater to the floor to keep it warmer in the winter:

You might be able to add a RMH and fire it in the evening, and have ducting make a loop around your center bed before venting out. That would provide a lot of warmth to get tender plants through those colder nights.
Heartwater Farm in Utah has a couple geodesic greenhouses and they use the mineral oil pistons on their vented pieces, and said it worked great once you calibrate it to open at the right temperature. 2-3 up top, and 1-2 at the bottom to create the chimney draft.
