Not really, no. We DON'T know that this person is a bot. There's a lot of people in the world, and everyone thinks a bit differently than someone else. Just because they SOUND like a bot, does not mean that that they are. It's basically saying the person is less than perfect (though, Gir Bot might disagree. He probably thinks us "meat space" people aren't as perfect as him). I am sure that there is someone, somewhere, that reads my words and think they sound just as "crazy" as some of the words in this thread sound to us.

My own opinion is that this a just a troll seeing how many responses they can get by posting a bunch of nonsense.  Bots generally have a purpose.  This seems like someone that finds this amusing,  for reasons that escape me.

Ug.  This is an edge case.

This is the kind of case that moderators can spend days discussing.  We spend this time talking about the possibility of something being perceived as not nice because we love permies so much and want it to be all inclusive for people who like to talk about permaculture in a friendly way.  When the truth is, we would much rather talk about permaculture.  Or even better, we want to get out there and work on our own permaculture projects so we have happy stuff to post about on the forums.  The result that gives us the warmest fuzzy feeling inside is when the poster self-moderates and the staff don't have to step in and do anything at all.


Several posts have been removed from this thread.  I think we are going to leave the others as teaching aids.

I don't think he is a troll, not sure what the permies PC word would be...so will just say he is likely a bit "touched". Much of what he mentioned has some truth in it (regarding corruption) but I seriously don't think North Korea is a US puppet. :)

If our friend Yunus has not been banned from the Above Top Secret forum, maybe his information would be embraced there?

I just want to say that I'm really grateful that if you are not adhering to the forum's standards, the moderators here are nice enough to explain why. I was banned from a forum for writers once and I'm still not sure what I said that was so upsetting. So a huge THANK YOU for being awesome people and not just the power of the banhammer.
