Um, I see you've only made two posts. It looks like the other one was Cider Press material. If you want to post on controversial subjects, you need at least 4 apples (the amount of apples depends on the Cider Press forum). Focus on making helpful, nice posts and you'll soon have enough apples to post there.

Hint: Calling people evil is not nice, and is reason alone for deletion of a post.

Yunus, you've come to a forum where people have (or are developing) the skills to get along within this community. Monitors remind us, when needed, to "be nice". Personally I appreciate their gentle reminders. Plus I really enjoy being able to share discussions in a safe environment like this one.

Yunus - this is a forum about permaculture.

If you want to post here you must post about how to make the world a better place using permaculture.

And you must also follow our publishing standards.

If you want to post the sort of thing you have posted so far, you must find a more appropriate forum.

Any political discussion is confined to the cider press.  This is not a political site, it is a permaculture site.  If you wish to post about politics, you need to either prove yourself as a valuable member here by earning apples, or go to a different site.

Or maybe make your own!

all political discussion is restricted to the cider press - https://permies.com/t/31128/tnk/category-Cider-Press
People who earn enough apples can post in that forum.

Somehow nobody wants to talk about "how stupid rich people are" also does rich people really deserve to be rich? Why do we obey to laws? Are police working for me or are they working for rich people who hire murderers and buy guns while telling you to get unarmed.

Permies.com is for talking about building a better world instead of being angry at bad guys.

The topic you describe appears to be focused on the problem, not the solution.

Why dont we post about how Venuzuelan, Turkish, North Korean politicans and Putin are working for USA.

Because this forum is dedicated to nice conversations about plants & animals & soil conservation, & almost anything EXCEPT the unpleasant things you are currently focusing on. We do discuss controversial things in the cider press but even there being polite & tactful is required. Most participants here are already well aware of the type of problems previously mentioned. My opinion is that's one of the main reasons we like this site. It helps us to actually improve the situation rather than just bitch about it. We are also generally well educated & know where to find all that info about the evils of the world. One can focus on good, one can focus on bad, perhaps one can even focus on both. But one can not focus on the bad here. That's the rule. It's that simple.

Thanks Paul & moderators for keeping permies such a wonderful & nice place to learn & share with others from all around the world.

Yeah, these posts press all my russian trollbot buttons. Look at the targets, and how randomly they're presented.

I didn't see the deleted posts in question, but let's say that I tend to trust the judgement of the staff in most cases. This one is no exception.

Look based on laws we have freedom and equality. So i can make 22 children because making too many babies is not forbidden by law. I also can buy 100 tonnes of oil and burn it. If someone say something, i say "i am testing fire resistance of rocks". I can buy 100 tigers, feed them in my home or say they get ill and died, i may have sex with animals if you say something i give that animal to you and say "you own the animal if you think i am abusing it". If i become politicans i may change laws and legalize canibalism.

As you can see Laws are completely wrong and democrachy and freedom are evil things. If you give democrachy to all living things; ants must become president. If you accept equality Tigers shall eat us because they are equal they have human rights and we must let them eat us otherwise they are getting depressed and suicidal.

So all rules, systems, laws are wrong.

Stop stealing electricity from Earth. Earth can kill you. Inside of Earth filled with liquid and very hot metal; Earths surface only 8 kilometers thick all millions of kilometers is lava. Also you have to recognise god or gods are evil because god didnt answer our questions and we suffer, we die, we get ill so god is evil. Dont make babies, dont use electric, dont burn stuff. Also i will only have sex with rich people because i am free and i hate non rich humans. It is all about money, respect to me because we are equal.

I know this is dating myself... but...

When the internet first came to my community, it was difficult to know if anything I wrote would actually upload to the internet.  The internet used to go over the phone lines and these were never that reliable.  I could spend a long time composing a post that was excellent in every way and press 'submit'.  When I pressed the button the post may work or it may become lost in the either.  I learned that if I valued what I wrote I would create a backup before pressing submit.

If someone feels inclined to post something that might not fit with the publishing standards, I suggest you copy-paste a backup before you post it...

... or better yet, think about what you're saying.  If it's not fitting with publishing standards and is going to vanish shortly after you post it.  Maybe there are other sites where these thoughts would fit better.

Hehe! I think that's why it's a general publishing standard! It would be utter nonsense for us to enumerate everything that we would be blacklisting, and so it is easier to say what is allowed than what is not.

Really? Just really? That person/bot just lost any hope of credibility with me.

I learned a new word from a (much) younger acquaintance recently. Slactivism. Seems to fit this situation.

This forum is different from almost all of the others.

I suggest this thread be deleted.    Rules are clear, and calling admins stupid shows that there is no respect for  this forum.

My 2 cents.

That's up to staff of course although it's not a bad thread to have floating around...clear examples of what isn't accepted here and sweet support for the moderators.

I'm with Bethany about the popcorn!

Thanks to staff who so clearly, calmly and thoughtfully set things straight

One of the things I hope this thread shows is that this is a moderator decision.

We have all sorts of reasons for doing what we do.  Many of them are top secret.

Today we had a staff meeting with Paul and talked about some of these reasons and behind the scenes tasks, the staff at permies.com do.  With over three dozen active staff, each one doing half a dozen tasks an hour to improve our site, it's starting to pay great rewards.  There's a secret algorithm that keeps track of every task we do and allots points to each one.  each month, we get a thread like this.  The people who make it to the top of that list, do a tremendous amount of work on permies.  In some ways, I don't like this list because it overshadows so many people who work hard every day to improve SEO, improve threads, add content, keep things nice.  Not just the staff, but also our posters.  Permies is the excellent place it is because of our community.

Permies is also the wonderful place it is today because of the developers who create amazing tools and shiny buttons for us to use and who fix the site when I cause it to implode when I press the wrong button (I'm not allowed to press some of the buttons any more - they put a fancy glass cover on them with a little sign saying "please don't press the self-destruct button")

The people who post.
The Oompa-Loompas that make the chocolate staff who work hard behind the scenes doing all those hidden tasks to keep things running smoothly.
The developers who give us shiny tools to make our job easier.

Sometimes the staff make decisions that make no sense from the user's point of view.  But please trust us.  The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating.  There are reasons and reasons for those reasons.  And reasons for those reasons' reasons.

I strongly suspect that Yunus is a bot. They are common on the social sites. Explaining rules to a bot will not get us anywhere, as Yunus' continuing posts have demonstrated.

Gosh darn it, I have cancer, this was the most fun thing I have read in a LONG, LONG time.

I agree with you though. My mother-in-law answered one of those calls that stars out with, "Oh, I am so glad you are easier to talk too then then the last person." She kept trying to talk, but obviously it was a recording. At the end we all told her, "You do realize, that is just a recording you were trying to talk to."

But before this post self-destructs, and I hope its doesn't, I hope over the years I have conveyed to all moderators my respect for what they do. If not, I want you all to know it now, there is not one I would not buy a coffee, or anyone on this site. Even if you hate me, i would still buy you a coffee.

Hey....if this is a social-media-spew-garbage-robot, does the "Be Nice" still apply?

As a esteemed forum member I will gladly abide by the rule, even if robots lack emotion, but if the rule does not apply to robots, then I am going to come out and just go Full-Force Shouldel on them! Oh yeah baby, the full monty, the full "you should have done this", and "you should have done that", and even state the dreaded "your degreaser (soap) sucks" comment.

If anyone is confused, take the link on the word SHOULD and you will understand what a "Shouldel" is. (Should People)

I was never looking for accolades, though I do accept the kind words.

I am just glad that no one knew me when I was younger, I was such a jerk (I still can be if I let my guard down). Over the last few years I have really tried to have some character and integrity. If I can die with that, I will have accomplished my goal.

I've learnt a few things from this thread so believe it should (can I use that word?) remain available so it can be used as a VERY clear reference and teaching aid, particularly for newbies, and also those of us who occasionally stray from the paddock.

I think the pie SHOULD be Strawberry-Rhubarb, kind of fitting really...not just the fact that I purposely became a SHOULDEL, but because of the sweet and tangy contrast of the pie that mimics the post in question.
