80 gallons pumped today into the 300 gallon tank (in addition to 40 gallons of unfiltered water, and about 15 in the bioSand filter), while I cut down, delimbed two mid sized trees and reorganized Hill Billy Mansion.

oh, I moved my two solar panels from the old slow well so I could have 400 watts On Narrow Pond.  I put my monster battery on the old slow well at 6:50am and let it run from 7am til 5:28pm

Now with power and water in hand, I can commence with the tree harvesting

wow! what happened yesterday and today???  let's just say there are activities one can engage in which have a long term effect which pictures may not abstractly describe...

Plato's opinion art hit us below our intellectual filter and therefore cannot be trusted.

My opinion isn't his though....

Anyways I digress. More to the point, I would hope that those of you (I am thinking deep roots and ants category), who want to use water from the 300 gallon tank, that you consider the following:
-I  can easily pump 75 gallons per day into the tank per day;
-but there are 3 people living in ant village and atleast 2 deep rooters;
-therefore I would hope that those 5 people would only use 75/5 gallons per day;
-and please consider leaving leaving atleast 225 gallons in the tank when you leave.

So in the current state given 5 people, each person can use 15 gallons per day.

That's enough for each person to take a 5 gallon shower, purify 5 gallons for drinking/cooking, and 5 gallons to irrigate with. every. single. day.

If you pour off your used shower, cleaning/cooking water into your irrigation water, your irrigation water per day then becomes about 12 gallons per day.

If you wish to learn about how the pump, filter, and tank work and don't wish to damage any of the components, please text me.

If you pee into your irrigation water, it might be just below 13 gallons per day.

Of course, these are my wishes: I don't make rules at Wheaton Labs, Paul does that.

NOTE: TANK WATER IS NOT POTABLE. DO NOT DRINK OR COOK WITH BEFORE PURIFYING.   yep. I yelled. get closer. I'll yell again so you don't get sick from unpurified water.

Some intelligent person thought they knew how the old slow well works and split the polypipe.

What occurred required large opposable thumbs. This occurred this morning between 9:30am and 11:18am

Whoever you are, this is Paul's property that you destroyed not mine. Paul may or may not have something to say about that.

This is similar to running the fire truck without instructions.

Now I am suggesting that, no matter how intelligent you are, text me and ask how to run the old well system inspite of you thinking you know how.

Otherwise realize from now on your failure to do so is a deliberate act which will damage the system.

If you have not talked to me, please do not tinker with the old slow well system. Don't even turn a switch to see what it does.

If you need water from the system, ask me to show you how to get water so no other damage occurs and all the energy expended to store the water is not lost.

Oh no! I hope the damage is repairable and not too difficult to fix, and that whoever messed with it does not do so again!

I already have it patched.  Most people here have inquisitive minds and I expected some to tinker without asking (without realizing plumbing is actually a series of logic gates which some won't know how or take the time to decode).  The timer is a black box so a person who hasn't programmed it won't know the implications of their actions no matter how simple their action seemed.

I could've made it idiot proof but all the boots here currently are pretty bright.

 Now the person who did may not have the guts to tell me, but now everyone on the lab knows to either be an expert in plumbing logic AND check the logic or just to ask me.

The human mind is a dangerous plaything. This tiny ad is pretty safe:
