Wow. quick turn around of karma I'd say! Complain about someone damaging property and then accidently did it myself....in the same day!  

...Anyways, it was a superficial wound. The tractor still works just fine but now I gotta replace the corner vented grill so it looks fine too.

Got four 12 footers out of the standing dead larch by the pascal rd....whittling that agenda down!

Went food shopping before I dropped the tree; spent about $60 dollars for the next 10 days.

...wait...wait who's dimming the lights....the day can't be over yet!

Putting my other two solar panels back on my main power tub.

set01=panel01  in series with panel02
set01 gives 24 or more volts since all panels are 12volt
(in series adds voltage)

set02=panel03 in series with panel04
set02 provides 24 or more volts

set01 in parallel with set01
provides 24 volts and twice the amps that set01 and set02 individually provide.
(in parallel, batteries and panels add their amps)

my charge controller can handle up to 100 volts with a max of 30 amps and then uses mppt to provide my 12volt battery with the correct voltage to charge it with (up to 30 amps).


I purchased two female Y's and two male Y's to allow me to quick release my panels in and out of sets.

The above configuration actually provides the following voltage and amperage before the morning sun even strikes them directly.

Very cool stuff Orin! Less than 2 weeks now till I'm up there and can start looking for a spot to put my deep roots stake in, current plan is to retire in March next year, sell the house, pack up what remains and drive over to start building. I pieced together a 24v system here with used batteries to cut my teeth on, so if I made a mistake it wasn't ruining expensive batteries. I'd definitely suggest a page of instructions for using the cistern, similar to what is in the willow feeders if that's an option.

Do you know if any work was done yet on the well house for the new deep well, or if a well pump was ordered for that? Do you have any plans for winter use of your tank, or will it be emptied to winterize it? I had thought about integrating a cistern into my earth berm, with the water inlet/outlet accessible from within the structure. If it's just a foot or two above the sink faucet and you use a 1" line with no restrictions, you get a decent flow especially when full.
