This message may self destruct when the socks stop being sold at this price.

Anyway! I was looking for socks for my husband, and ran across someone selling x-large, full cushion, over-the-calf Darn Tough socks for $10 and $11 per pair! (They usually sell for $30 a pair. I've been searching for socks for my husband for over a year, and have never seen their taller socks sell for this little!)

If you, or someone you love, wears extra large sock, you might want to buy some of these. They are warrentied for life!

And, if you have money to share, I believe Jesee Grimes the Lab Ant asked for some of these socks.

Here's the link to the socks: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005EB7UXK/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new. I have no idea how many socks these sellers have, so if you need life-time socks, now might be the time!

Just an update. The socks are still for sale for $10/pair. Though, I did just noticed that the seller is a new one (we already ordered 5 pairs, so hopefully they will follow through with their shipment!)

Oh! And last August I bought 6 pairs of Darn Tough socks for myself. Five socks finally developed small holes, so about two weeks ago I mailed back three pairs (cost a little over $3). Today I received three new pairs of socks in the mail! So, Darn Tough does respect their warranty .

Well, I may very well have been duped. I ordered 5 pairs of these socks for my husband on Dec 5th, and they still haven't arrived. And, the tracking number provided is fake. I'm worried that I will never receive the socks, and will be out $50 . I'm really hoping no one else is having this experience!

I thought there was some kind of protection for this kind of thing when you buy through amazon?  You should be able to get your money back.....I recently ordered a book that never came and when I sent an email saying I hadn't received it,  I was refunded almost immediately back into my debit card.

Nicole, I added a caution to the thread title just in case. Let me know if it turns out OK and I will revise it again.

Hi Nicole,
The shipping issue could possibly be because the seller is in the United Kingdom (If it was the 'yharis' seller on Amazon)?

'Yharis' lists shipping as:
Shipping rates for all products (excluding Books, Music, Video and DVD)

Standard
Continental US Street
ETA
18 - 26 business days
on their seller page: https://www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B005EB7UXK&isAmazonFulfilled=0&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=A2OA3MCDCXW0FN&tab=&vasStoreID=

So by stated shipping rates they have until mid January to get them to you. Good luck with this, it would be a great deal if you do get them. And I second the sentiment that Amazon will stand behind any purchase that does not arrive at all, at least they have in my experience.

-Josh

I'm pretty sure the seller I selected (fhaed) is a scam artist. I had no idea people did stuff like this, but I guess it's been going on for a couple of years where a person will set up a store front selling a bunch of things at 1/2 price...only to never ship them. Once they get found out, they close their shop, and often open up another one "selling" the exact same merchandise.

On Friday I sent a message through Amazon asking the seller to reimburse me or ship with a real shipping address (in my orders, it says he/she shipped through UPS and gives a tracking number, but UPS does not recognize the tracking number). It's now been two "business days" since I sent that message, and there's been no reply from the seller nor any package. The seller also has a bunch of negative reviews from people saying that they were given fake shipping numbers. He/she also no longer has anything in their storefront, but there a ne "just launched seller" named "yharis" who is selling socks at the same price, as well as other merchandise I saw fhaed selling. Pretty sure "yharis" is "fhaed's" newest incarnation.

I've filed one of Amazon's A-Z Guarantee claims (didn't know that existed until this fiasco--thank you Judith for telling me Amazon will refund!). Amazon is giving me a $50 amazon gift card to reimburse me, so I'm not out any money--just time and socks!

Lesson's learned through this is that (1) If a seller is new and selling something at an "unbelievable price," they are likely a scam artist. And, (2) Amazon thankfully refunds even if you get scammed.

I hope if anyone else ordered--from jhaed or a different seller--that they actually get their socks!

Or we might never have existed at all. Freaky. So we should cherish everything. Even this tiny ad:
