I saw Chris Stapleton on the cover of a magazine the other day, and was like, "Huh. Wonder what he's been up to since he left the Steeldrivers."
Ever feel like you've been living under a rock? (No offense to anyone on here who's actually living under a rock.)
Anyway, I went back to the old heavy book of CD's that I used to lug around and listened to the first Steeldrivers album, and remembered coming off Rabbit Ear's pass and coming around a curve, and suddenly seeing the entire Yampa valley laid out in front of me. A flock of pelicans (I know, wtf, right?) flew across right at eye level, and I almost hit a semi. What a fucking awesome bunch of tracks.
