kickstarter rewards testing

We have a new way to hand out goodies for kickstarter this year.  Some brand new code that hasn't been tested.  

I am about to email the people that supported the kickstarter at DESIGN level and higher.   I wish for them to report success or failure here.

So about half the group already had a permies.com account, and the other half of the group did not.   So it sounds like this stuff is working for the first half!

I got the email from Paul but didn't get the Goodie followup. Email not in my spam. In case it is relevant, I was already registered her for Permies but the email came to a different email than my registered email here.

Received initial email.  No goodie follow-up.  Message not in spam.

I recently changed my permies.com email so that might explain it.

Received initial email but no goodie.

Now registered with same email as KS.

Checked spam box and nothing there.
Also checked under bed, nothing there either.

Same as Russel and Jae, I got the initial email, but no followup email.  Not is spam or other filtered emails either.

Received the initial email, but not the follow up and just checked the spam folder again.

The kickstarter finally pulled me out of just being a lurker here, so I just created this account, but I made sure to use the same email as the kickstarter.

I'm guessing that it only went through with people who had an existing account?

I just took a peek at the server backend and I think I can see what's going on. Let's see if I can fix this real quick.

I can see where you were given access to

at 7:30 this morn.  Probably because your kickstarter email matched your permies.com email.  

So on the first pass, you should have received an email saying you now have access.  But you didn't.   On the second pass, the system is looking and seeing that you already have access to the goodies, so it does nothing.  Which is fine if you had received the first email.

Assuming that devaka has now fixed the email issue, then the second pass did work correctly, but ....  

I think the thing to do now is get more results reported to figure out what to do next.

Aaron, I just looked you up for this experiment.   your story is the same as manfred's.

Didn't get the first round, but got picked up in the second. It's showing me the download link for the cards when I go to the page, so I'm assuming it worked.

I'll make sure it downloads when I get home, but it looks good so far.

Received 2nd e-mail about test, but nothing further.

Went to 63393 and got the cards downloaded...

Same result here: 2nd email said trying again, but no followup came through... not in spam... I have different email with Kickstarter than here. 100% patient here, so no rush. I hardly ever eat candy... ;-D

I see that you were sent the afternoon invitation.   So my guess is that you created an account between the first and second test.

Is it possible that this afternoon's email went to your spam?

The email would have been sent to your kickstarter email.   Did you check that email address?

Got the live stream access email.

Checked the thread; can see the clock; and tested out the chat.

Everything good to go so far.

Received emails.  Clicked first goodies link.  Got error message because I didn't have a permies.com account with the same email address as the KickStarter.  Created an account using that email address.  Logged in.  Clicked link again.  Got in.  Accessed goodies.  Cards received.  Live feed working.  Chat working.  Three forums visible.

I'm still not sure what I'm looking for? I can see a clock but do to connectivity I can't tell if it's live.

Now I see an image of the classroom with a ladder.  Do you see the ladder.  When I wait, I see people walking by once in a while.

Did you get the email about the live stuff?

I could not reply from the email link I received.  I have an permits account but it is not under the same email as the Kickstarter Campaign.  I tried to make them the same in Kickstarter but had a problem now I cannot set up an account with the email address from the kickstarter account.  Suggestions?   I can;t seem to find out how to update my email in my premises account to the new email address.  Can you tell me how?   Thanks.

Everything seems to be working for me, I just needed to create a permies account first.

I see the live clock stream. I could access and post in the chat. I can access the three hidden forums.

By the way, you're handling the lead up to the event quite well. I've seen web projects where the devs just test internally and hope that it would work for the intended audience later.
I like your method much better.
