I am looking to gather a group of knowledgable, trustworthy people to start a small sustainable farm on my 20 acre property .
This would be a sustainable village that produces its own food through aquaponics and other growing methods and power through wind and solar, while bringing the latest innovations and technologies in architecture to the community, such as earthships and modular type homes.  Please submit any comments you may have and i would like to start a discussion and hear what others are thinking.

As we all know, its not finding out how do it,  but where to do it, and i have the place to get it started.

Aquaponics depends on a sizable outside food contribution typically.

Hello,
I saw you live in Sage, as do I. My wife and I are currently living on 67 acres just south of Minto. I would be interested in seeing what you are trying to accomplish. I don't know if we are going to be here long term, but I am interested in meeting people who are working the land creatively.

Write me a note.

I have spent the last 5+ years perfecting a total close-the-loop homestead using 100% rainwater, 100% solar and wind at very Lo cost... resulting in a NO-COST operation.  I am looking to do this now with an ecovillage type community.
If you ever get started on this and need some assistance in designing a no-cost type community, I would love to help out.  I am located in northern California.

I sent you a message in email please call me we are looking for this very thing have financing coming in and we have been looking to get land and start this very thing! Would be perfect. We have been looking in shelter valley and Anza but there is too tight of a hold in that area for building this type of project.

We are ready 2 families to do this. We have engineer in one and agricultural specialist in the other family. We are all going to stay in the 5th wheel we have purchased for this build.

Please contact me at 760-443-8746 we are looking to try and get a spot in the next 42 days and get started on project build.

We need only a well. We are putting in solar and other sources of power enough to run small 5 homes. We are just building 4 but the extra power is for my in home engineering shop / lab....

Thank you
Mike Dolbow

I live in Aguanga fairly close by and would like to offer up any help if you need. We are already pretty well established but it would be good to help out other members of the community. Let me know!

Hi,

I'm moved to Georgia from SoCal and looking to get back. I would be interested talking about your project and finding out if it would be a good match for me. It's better to reach me at benjaminburchall@yahoo.com. I don't check messages here frequently.

Hi!

I'm wondering if this project is off the ground? My family and I live in San Diego and have been looking into living in a communal/ecovillage but they seem very hard to find down here. If this is a possibility please email me at gracegreene82@gmail.com I will receive it right away. Thanks for your time!

Seem like there is really a need for something like this in S Cali zone 10/9.
Does anyone want to pickup the ball in terms of land/money.
I am willing to chip in. How about you guys.
Whats the price for 20 acres of land in S Cali. Water source would be an important issue.
20 acres could hold up to 20 families. Or 80 people.

I would like someone to help find land in S Cali that is affordable.

Owner financing is available for most of these
$12,000 per acre OK/lush vegetation already has a well and electric. so with 10 ppl we could buy it.

$2,500 per acre really close to the aqueduct not too sure about well/water table can some one reply with more info about this area. so with 10 ppl we could buy it.

$12,000 per acre, very lush vegetation already has a spring going through it so with 12 ppl we could buy this.

Hello Everyone, I completely agree that we need an Eco-village in S Cali. My husband and I are interested. We are looking for 2.5 acres of land for us in order to build a self-sustainable kin space. However, we are looking for a community of people with the same believes.
Since we haven't found one yet, we decided to look for people who would like to join us, find the land and build a community in S California. Please contact me if anyone is interested. Thank you.

Hi all,

What happened to this project? It sounded perfect for what I was looking for. Did he or anyone ever get this off the ground?

I'm looking for an opportunity to be part of a community land purchase where I can build a small off the gride home along with other like minded folks. The one place in sd for $8k-12k per plot on 200 achers seemed great. I'd really enjoy being on a wooded lot with trees for shade cover and nature around rather then wide open flat desert land. I'm thinking Tarzan, not sitting bull.

Eric

Hello my name is Leslie. I am new to this but have been researching off-grid earth ship homes for a few years now. I have been looking to purchase land out of the big city but not familiar with zoning and permits. I would to know more about your community and how my family and I can be apart of it? Thank you. Please email me at lesliealvis@gmail.com.

Good luck. Have you checked the Fellowship of Intentional Community listings?  The FIC seems like a good place to start.
