Going for Gold

...

With 2 months left before I head out, I’ve set myself a big goal. I’m going for the GOLD, that means completing both PEP 1 and PEP 2. ...
It’s an ambitious push, and I know it won’t be easy. That’s where YOU come in. If you’ve been through the PEP program I’d greatly appreciate your support. Whether it’s a tip, a how to, advice or just a word of motivation — I'm all ears.

The next two months are going to be fun and maybe a little intense, but I’m ready to dig in (literally and figuratively).

Thanks for being part of my journey.

Blessings, Catherine The Grateful

P.S. I cooked rice for Taco Tuesday as one of my bb's.

Hi Catherine. Congratulations for your 2 months at the Lab.
I wish you the best with your goal for the next 2 months.

I remember there was a thread about the easiest BBs to achieve. Do I have to help you find it?
I know at least 1 BB that's very easy. All you need to do is cut rags from an old T-shirt. Here

Thank you

for the encouragement and both links. I greatly appreciate you.

Montana Heat

Today in Montana, the sun blazed high,
A hundred degrees beneath the sky.
The air stood still, the dust was dry,
But work got done.

I made the egg slide at breakfast,
Then grabbed a saw.
Ten junk pole trees dropped, limbed and stacked.

The game cam caught sight of a grand old elk.

last but not least I wandered,
To forage mint for a cup of tea.

Yes, today burned fierce, but we still made way.
That’s how it went at Wheat lab boot camp on this hot Montana day.

Tree Valley

Psalm 96:12 – “Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”

Happy 4th of July

Rain taps soft kissing the earth.
Each drop a promise,
Nurturing roots for the harvest.

Freedom sings in quiet things,
In mason jars and canning rings,
With knee-high corn and fireflies,
And rhubarb jam that sweetens July.

God Bless America

Shabbat Shalom

Hi Catherine. I do have a small serviceberry tree/bush in my front yard. But it's still young and did not yet grow berries. I hope it will. I love the taste of ripe serviceberries (we call them 'krentjes' in Dutch).

Wow, that's awesome. Serviceberries on the other side of the globe. I am sure you will have a wonderful harvest after the bush matures. Smakelijk.. CB

Yes, they grow here very well! I don't know since when, but I think for centuries, these small trees have been planted here in gardens and parks and alongside roads. Everyone knows their early Spring blossoms. And they call them 'Drents Krentenboompje', as if it's originallly from this province (Drenthe) ... I think only a few people know it's in fact American.
