Minimum Requirements:
  - 20 foot deep 6 inch hole in the ground with steel casing
  - 4 foot tall cap with glass on south side
  - black ¾ inch tube exposed to glass and reaching bottom of hole
  - note that glass needs to not block UV

To get certified for this BB, provide proof of the following as pictures of a video (<2 mins):
  - equipment and materials at the build site
  - partway through the building passive garden heaters
  - completed passive garden heaters

I read the thread regarding these, but the last update was two years ago and there seemed to be more questions that answers.  Has there been any testing and information as to how well these work?  It would be fun to build one of these and I have some of the materials available, but I hadn't heard if it worked in practice.

I have some 24 foot 6x6 steel tubing I could use to make one of these, and tempered glass to make the "sun window".  I would just need to get the 3/4" tube.
