This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Nest.

In this Badge Bit, you will install a mailbox by the street.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
   - the post must be rot resistant (black locust, cedar, metal, etc)
   - no pressure treated wood or cement
   - the post for the mailbox must be installed such that it does not topple over easily

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must provide proof of the following with pictures (or a video < 2 mins long):
   - before, during, and after of installing a mailbox by the street
   - demonstrate it meets the above stated requirements

Approved submission
Woohoo...first submission for this one!

Our old mailbox is too low and the supports are rusting out and the hinge is broken and the mail-lady uses rubber bands to hold it shut and it's in a dumb place and...you get the idea.

So we bought a new giant mailbox and a Swing Clear post and put it in. It was a piece of cake, more or less. The reflective address numbers were supposed to arrive today so it's maybe not technically finished but the requirements for this BB are all good.
