I give this book nine out of ten acorns.

I thought I knew everything there was about running an eco-friendly home. My go to products - vinegar and bicarb. I was still using eco-friendly washing soap and sprays. All that changed with this book. I read it from cover to cover and have implemented many of her suggestions. Like many recipes, they can be tweaked - I often use less than she does. You could find all the information in this book on youtube, her instagram account or here on permies, however, having everything in one book is very useful. Their are gems though, that you might not have thought to search for.

The book is broken down into broad categories:

Laundry - from cleaning the machine itself, making your own concoctions,  to using ivy leaves and removing stains and smells
Kitchen - cleaning, problems, frequency of tasks
Home - everything else that’s not kitchen, bathroom or garden
Bathroom - specific tasks and solutions not in the previous two sections
Garden - some good tips, not too detailed
Personal - not exactly poo-less but some useful stuff including jewellery
How to clean - daily through to annual tasks - a good checklist

This book is my go to for Nest Pep Badges.

(Thank you Leigh)
