Me and my mom made an agreement many years ago: If one of us gets abducted by aliens, we will do our best to get them go get the other of us too. We both want to go! :D

I sometimes wonder what aliens think about us. I envision them in a spaceship, observing us walk behind our dogs on a leash and pick up their poop, thinking canines are in charge.

I want to fly the ship. Being a space bird would be sooooo cool. Until then I'll be content to plant more food & trees.

"You know, they call themselves 'rocket scientists' but look at them building their rockets out of stone and mud! I say this planet is easy pickings!

Actually, James, have you ever read "City" by Clifford D. Simak?   Sci-Fi about a future where humans have become so entranced and integrated with their computers that they stop reproducing and dogs pretty much take over the planet.....using humanoid robots to do 'opposable thumb' tasks.  Published in the 1950s, a golden era for insightful sci-fi.

On another note is the constellation called Orion about to disappear from the loss of Betelgeuse?  Have any other constellations in recorded or oral history disappeared due to loss of one of the star-points?
