Day 112

I spent most of the mornign today making a two-step stool!



This is my completed two-step stool!



After I finished making the two-step stool, I went on a hike!



There was a bright rainbow on my hike, because there were lots of dark clouds in the background and a bright sun behind me!



This is a view while the rainbow disappeared momentarily.



And the rainbow returned!



And then, there were two rainbows! I thought that was pretty nice! If you have trouble spotting the second rainbow, it's a bit faded and to the right of the brighter rainbow.

Day 113

This morning I planted living fence seeds.



I laid down a little sheet of plastic that I could kneel down on, so that I could plant without getting completely soaked in snow.



This afternoon, I peeled logs with Jen to help with the Bermshed. I appreciated getting to chat about books and podcasts, because books and podcasts are a couple things that I find some joy in.

Day 114

I liked how nice the rising sun looked on the mountains this morning!





Joisah, Austin, and Ron worked on the Bermshed today. Jen and I felled a bunch of trees this morning for making junkpole fences at Basecamp. I enjoyed the walking around in the woods!







I think that the views while felling junkpoles were quite nice!





This is an area where I found a lot of deadstanding trees of about the right size for junkpoles and cut some of them down.



These are a couple more landscape views I took that I liked!





Here is a look at how work on the Bermshed is goig. I think that Josiah, Austin, and Ron are doing a lovely job!



Only so many people could work on the Bermshed at once, and getting junkpoles to build fences at Basecamp so that food systems can be developed is pretty important, too. So, I got to spend the afternoon limbing some of the junkpoles that were felled this morning and gathering them up, so that they will be easier to take off the mountain and load onto Doug or a trailer.

Day 115

This morning started off with some clouds covering up the mountains and shading the sun. i thought this was a nice scene!





I went back outside this morning to limb junkpoles and get them together for eventually taking back to Basecamp.





This is an area where I had felled a bunch of junkpoles yesterday. I limbed these trees, and then, I put them together in a point to be moved later.



This where I put the junkpoles in this aree, as a staging point, to be moved later.



These are some more junkpoles from another area that I limbed and staged them for moving.



Snow was falling throughout the morning, so, driving was slightly more challenging. These are some of the views I saw from Basecamp in the afternoon, which I thought were nice!







This afternoon, Bella and I worked on organizing and cleaning the Auditorium and the Shop at Basecamp.

Day 116

We got to have today off for Thanksgiving, so, I went hiking this morning!

Day 117

We had an awesome Thanksgiving Day yesterday! We ate lots of delicious food! We have today off as a recovery day, because a couple of other Boots are sick. We want them to get better, and we don't want the rest of us to get sick.

This morning I went on another enjoyable hike at Basecamp!
