Good morning! You're welcome, Nancy! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying my posts!
Day 14
I fed Wharfie and
Gert this morning! I had to pick up and move Wharfie to the other bowl, because Wharfie seems to like to believe that both bowls are for him. Gert got to eat in peace now!
I am making another slow food- Indian Style Pancakes (Dosas)! I am soaking the rice and lentils for twenty-four hours, and then, after processing the rice and lentils into a batter, I will be letting the batter sit for twenty-four hours before cooking them! So, it will take a total of forty-eight hours beforehand for the dosas to be ready.I will be cooking the dosas Tuesday morning!
I cleaned the kitchen in the Fisher Price House today to submit it for
a Nest BB on kitchen cleaning.
To accompany the Indian-Style Pancakes (Dosas), I made Mint Chutney. The recipes I am using are from the book
Nourishing Traditions by
Sally Fallon. I substituted whey with
apple cider vinegar, and I used a mix of
flax seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds instead of almonds. I used some coconut milk for about half of the
water called for in the recipe. I also used a bit more onions than called for, because we have a lot of onions right now.
I went on another hike up to the "Volcano!"
