I arrived at Basecamp in the middle of the night last night! Cass and Taylor picked me up! It was gorgeous seeing all the stars in the sky! I had never seen so many stars in the sky before! This was my wake up this morning for my first day at The Project! I was greeted by Whorfie!!! :)

Day 1

Some pictures from this morning:

I can’t wait to begin working and learning and helping out with everything at Basecamp and Wheaton Labs!!!

Here are some pictures from around Basecamp!

Here are some pictures of Allerton Abbey!

And here are some of the things I worked on at Allerton Abbey! I limewashed a wall, cleaned wood and taped it, and even got to do cobbing! I cobbed a side of a doorway! Jaqi and English Fred taught me about limewashing and cobbing!

Pick up and hold Warf as you pet him for some drooling fun! The day isn't complete until a cat has drooled on you due to uncontrollable affection!  8D

Good morning! I just pooped! I made a deposit at Willow Bank, then got greeted by Wharfie!!!

Day 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOJ0EIGaECA

Here are some pictures of the Willow Bank!

Today, we started with cleanup of some of the plots. I took a few pictures of around the plots. The first three pictures are of the Bear Den.

We spent the majority of my time at Allerton Abbey! We whitewashed the walls, and after the walls were whitewashed, I moved the boards on the facade up by unscrewing them, making a new channel hole, and then drilling them back in at a higher up spot. I forgot to take before pictures, but you can kinda see how much lower they were with the final pictures of the boards I haven't moved into proper place.

We also planted some garlic around the berms at Basecamp during the middle of the day!

And this is the Season Extender!!!

Good morning! I made vegan banana rice pudding last night and cooked it overnight in the slow cooker for breakfast for everyone! We had a bunch of bananas that were going very ripe, so I decided to put them to use! I walked around a corner of the Fisher Price House!

Day 3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QBca5v83-w

Note: I post videos in the morning, and then, I edit my posts later in the day after all the things have done!

Here is a picture of how the walls of Allerton Abbey are looking:

I finished moving the facade boards up into place, so that they come into contact with the upper board.

English Fred was able to take some pictures of me working on the facade. After I had screwed the upper board into all the facade boards, I then moved the final board at the top end of the facade into contact with the upper board.

This is the upper portion of the facade I was working on. I forgot to take the after photo. I think this is like a halfway progress picture.

Then, I was working on screwing on the boards for the top facade of Allerton Abbey.

I also cleaned up some of the wood on Allerton Abbey!

Good morning! This is a video describing the area around The Shop.

Day 4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovpoma8Q6eQ

Here’s a video of me working on one of the windows in Allerton Abbey. I applied a clay slip to the wood around the window, that way the cobb will stick. Then, I added the cobb finish plaster. In this video, I am smoothing our the cobb finish plaster I had added. You can’t see too well in the video, because the sunlight is so bright.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT0LHe8nra4

we spent about an hour this morning planting garlic and walking onions!

I worked with original Fred at Allerton Abbey to install the top top vertical segment of the chimney to the rocket stovetop cooker.
